This thread makes me want to get a box of E2 due to its high popularity on FOH! Hope that I can sample that CC in some day.

Fantastic as a cigar, cumbersome at current price. It would absolutely destroy market share if it were priced in line to compete directly with Monte Edmundos.

It’s a huge hit. I scored a fabulous psp box from MSU JUN 18 and they have been reliably gorgeous. Rich and full flavoured yet quite smooth and gentle, not as demanding of time as the Lusitania but si

I am not a big fan of the E2. Nothing bad, just not my profile. That said, my good friend (and cigar shop owner back in Tampa) Alex has told me many times that if the world ends and they only make one cigar, the E2 is his firm favorite! I always keep a 5 count box in my humidor for when he comes over to play!

5 ct. packs are almost always available in the Int. store ?

It also has tubo version in some B&Ms, which is same as Series tubos. 5ct E2 pops in quite frequently on 24:24 though.

These are the boxes I have:

25-Partagas Serie E No.2 UBM ABR 19

15-Partagas Serie E No.2 SMA NOV 18

5(2)-Partagas Serie E No.2 LMB MAR 19

5(2)-Partagas Serie E No.2 UAO MAR 19

Partagas is my favorite marca. I loaded up when everyone was giving great reviews... I haven’t had a good one yet. All have been harsh with little flavor. I’m hoping they will smooth out over time.

Smoked UBM NOV 18 couple of months ago. It was excellent.

Interesting to read through the thoughts when it was released.

This has been in my daily's rotation for quite a while, always feel that D4 isn't enough and the DC is too much so its the perfect candidate for a 1 stick night.

The best E2s I have had came in boxes of 5 or Tubos with at least 3-4 years on them.

I find it complex, powerful and full of taste - which is maybe why for some who are used to smoother profiles might find it overwhelming, harsh or too strong.

The E2 is one of the top 10 reg-prod cigars coming out of Cuba, and the flagship of the Partagas marca, IMO. Perfectly balanced, as well as (almost always) perfectly constructed.

MSU/TUA/UAO/MAR coded boxes are worth fighting over. I buy boxes every time I see them.

For my taste a great cigar. Smooth and refined  - a couple years and they’re ready to go. Just enjoyed a ‘19 TOU that was grass, hay, touch of spearmint through the retrohale - perfect burn with a light carmel note at the nub -

I’ll get my box out for code and year when I get home. For some reason they have all smoked almost like cigarettes. Just plain tobacco with some harshness. No nuance, no transitions. Very sad to say.

Just received a box of MAR DIC 20 from our host. I will certainly partake after a month or two of rest to get a baseline. They sure look and smell wonderful!!!

It's off topic, but would you mind to share your thoughts on the top 10 reg-prod cigars coming out of Cuba? Thanks.

My E2 box is AMO May 2016. Pretty sure that’s El Laguito code. Just not good though as shocking as that may be.

I’ll leave them to hibernate and visit again in a few months.

@Lrabold89 I think I had one out of the 25 count box. I believe the problem with that box is the wrappers are a little fireproof. They are very dark and leaning on the thicker side of acceptable. Still, the flavors were a little better than before and a tad bit sweeter. The cigar I had out of the LMB 5 count box was just ok. But yes, they were better than my original post but the difference is marginal.
