Hiroshiro Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 While herfing with RC his friend had an awesome metal briefcase for his cigars. Is there any type of these travel humidors you guys would recommend? I still travel with my three finger cigar holder

Diamondog Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I personally like and use the Xikar 50 - 80 count travel case
ramon_cojones Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 hiro the one me and my buddies have is the halliburton which has been discontinued unfortunately although not a briefcase type and smaller, rimowa makes a very nice one albeit extortionately expensive
Hiroshiro Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 Oh it was the halliburton. I've seen it online a d looks like 599.99 was the cheapest. Still awesome

Ginseng Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Pelican case. Pick and Pluck foam, multiple form factors. I use for my flashlights, sorta same shape as cigars. Wilkey

jacktarnold Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I personally like and use the Xikar 50 - 80 count travel case X2 my wife got it for my birthday two years ago and I love it!
sactochris Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Tatuaje has a cool coffin shaped case that will hold at least 20 to 30 cigars and it is metal and it is like a music instrument style case. I've never seen that one. I have the ten count coffin travel humi from tatuaje.
Oscar300 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Look at peli cases, perfect for the job, I'm having one as my main humidor soon....well after robs next sale lol.
mk05 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I use a plastic bag from the grocery store. No buckets here.
TheDistrictJP Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Howdy - when I head out to the cigar bar for an evening, I use a camelback with the water reservoir removed. I can fit all my accessories, phone, 5-count xicar case and even my Surface if I want to catch up on some work. It's worked out really well for me.
PigFish Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 There was a day when I might take 50 to 100 cigars for a multi day smoking and strip joint debacle. I would typically take a Pelican briefcase. I would individually vacuum seal 3 to 5 cigars of the same box at a time, label them and put them in the case. I would often share the same cigar that I was smoking so I could open 2 to 3 bags at a time and put them into a smaller travel case for the time out. I might find that I did not touch several of the bags and they were easy to return to the boxes that they came from and would always return undamaged because I took the time to seal them in a bag. The rest would be smoked up, passed out or put in the singles drawers when I returned home. If the demand is smaller, I just put them in a bag and then in a smaller Pelican case. I have been known to take a nice tall mason jar with a wire lever lid and a silicon gasket. I take a cedar sheet from a dress box and curl it around the inside and drop the cigars in vertically. You do have to be careful not to beat up the cigars in the jar, however! You can also sweat the water out of your cigars if you levee them in the sun with either method, so be careful!

Hiroshiro Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 The world needs more multi day smoking and strip club debacles! Just More Strip Club Debacles. LOL some good Suggestions here. Pretty Much my fear is damaging my very important and rare sticks. As Long as they stay safe the format of the case doesn't matter. Thanks guys!
