Hello from Singapore!

Will be back on the deck tomorrow as I fly out tonight. It has been a great couple of days catching up with old friends, making new ones, drinking and eating waaaay too much!

I love Singapore. Great food, friendly people, magnificent architecture, thriving bar and nightclub/live band scene.

I normally come to SIng at this time of year to attend the Singapore Sevens Rugby Tournament held at the Singapore Cricket Club. I am a guest of good friend Manu who is the club reprobate...and just happens to have a box for 50 people on the half way line. The Singapore Sevens really is a party atmosphere with the crowd drinking and singing throughout the afternoon and evening. Brilliant!

Great to catch up with a few FOH members yesterday afternoon. Cheers fellas, I think it is time for a Singapore Event clap.gif

See you all tomorrow from the deck. Will answer any e-mails /PM's then.

I'm in Singapore with work for a week from the 23rd, shame it wasn't earlier. I know that smoking is pretty restricted there, are there still plenty of cigar lounges you can go to?

Many thanks for that, much appreciated! Our offices are up in the Loyang area, near the airport, but I've no idea where our hotel will be yet. Hopefully I'll get a couple of chances to travel into the center, how is public transport in Singapore?

Most hotels are in the city area.

Well Singapore is not really big.

By car from one side to the other (no traffic) your done in about half an hour.

Public transport is very good (my opinion). Busses are fine for shorter distance or you have more time. Subway MRT if close to your workplace than quit fast and good. Taxies are easy to get and also cheap.

You see, no problem to move around.

Great pics! How is the history/sites there? Are the big coastal forts still there to visit etc?

Fort Siloso at Sentosa Island may be of interest for you Captain.
