The Juan Lopez were crap IMO. Very boring cigar and not nearly as good as the regular line.

The Super Allones are great, but still need time before they reach their peak.

The XV Anni's are incredible. ****** them up!

Any idea on pricing atm Prez?

Looking for tips on where to shop when I go up for the Toronto Megaherf. Where can I pick up a couple of the Super Ramons and the VR Anni's?

  • JLP - Very good cigar. Getting better over time. Floral & fruity notes.
  • RA Super Ramone. Excellent cigar! ok.gif One to put down and age. Great from the start, also improving.Loads of familiar RA notes. Stewed fruit, hints of cayenne pepper. Stunning cigar.
  • VR -XV. Very new. The two I've had have been good but not too great. The Sublime vitola is a win, the tastes need some time to develop. Some coffee and tangy tobacco are what I taste the most.

Thanks Frank. Very informative. I've had 2 Super Ramons last year and I thought they was fantastic. I've been saving the few I have left....but maybe...just maybe I'll pick up box if the price is fair. I also had a JL Supreme. Nothing really to right home about. Very floral like you said. I'd be interested in the VR's for sure. Can't wait to see what Prez has in store for us.

I have two Super Ramones left out of a fiver that I received. Awesome smoke with all the RA flavors that needs a long time commitment to enjoy.

Speaking of Canadian Regionals. Anyone have the Bolivar Simones from 2008?

Posted

I have enjoyed the Super Ramone and I am doomed. So much for the household sequestration. If my wife finds out that I am buying more cigars, substitute 'cas' for 'seques'.

I normally love Juan Lopez RE's (except the Obus) but the Supreme wasn't overwhelmingly good. It was good enough that I think it would improve in time.

I tried a Super Ramon ROTT - didn't impress me. However, I am desperate to give it another shot - RA's normally never disappoint and everyone else seems to love them.

Havn't tried the VR yet.........

Looking forward to you getting these in, Rob!

I have smoked many of them, and they are really smoking well now. It's a shame the 50 cabs are so hard to find now.
