Was told this story many, many moons ago from someone at havana house

Launch of simones was unsuccessful due to price point and packaging

Tactic 1

Lowered pricing to increase sales. Reduced a few times. Somewhat successful

Tactic 2

Take remaining 50 cabs and remaining cigars and repackage in 25 count slbs and keep price at 1/2 of a 50 cab

Same as what Art said.

Shlomo, you question things, yet then state you heard this story too?! confused.gifthinking.gif

Regardless, no idea about the box numbering (not "serial numbers", that's the number on the seals, n'est pas?) With whatever they did with the box numbering, no idea if those numbers came into play at all. I'm guessing here, as I wasn't told otherwise nor did I clarify at the time, but I'm guessing it was just a random assortment of boxes. Just whatever was left in the warehouse, and they just repackaged them. No rhyme or reason to the numbers then I'm guessing.

LOL. Well, easily 3/4 of the info that's out there about all things Habanos is only from miscellaneous people in the cigar world, and not as stated fact from anyone official. LOL.
