Orion21 Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 (edited) Pioneering study claims THIRD-HAND smoke causes significant damage to our DNA - and its danger increases over time Research claims - for the first time ever - that third-hand smoke causes significant damage to human cells Third-hand smoke is the toxic residue that clings to surfaces after second-hand smoke has disappeared The study also found that this residue becomes MORE harmful over time http://www.dailymail...eases-time.html Next they will claim smoking is the cause of Global Warming and that the last ice age ended because Neanderthals started to light up . . . ramon_cojones Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I'm waiting for the report on 7th hand smoke to come out.
PaulP Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 This has been discussed by the California anti-smoking cabal for some time.
Orion21 Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 Well funded hippies - mostly graduated from UC Berkeley - and wear Birkenstocks WITH socks!!!
paulF Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Third Hand smoking : A is smoking--> B inhales what A exhales --> C inhales what B exhales?!
David67 Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 There is a war going on make no mistake. Anyway have a look at the below website (smoke screens) it looks at the facts behind the anti-smoking movement: http://smokescreens.org/
canadianbeaver Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I am much more concerned about bacteria on public surfaces like bathrooms, shopping carts, money, subways, buses, air planes, etc.
khamy Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I hear if you think about smoking, somewhere a unicorn dies.....its not right people, my god think of the children!

My goodness, what will the children do without unicorns?! You have convinced me, starting tonight I will start burning every cigar I own. Those nasty things need to be destroyed.
Tino Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 According to The Daily Mail, EVERYTHING gives you cancer

canadianbeaver Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I do believe that there is such a thing as smoke residue. We collect old paintings (inexpensive ones) and the sellers often state that if it comes from a smoker's home it will have to be cleaned because of a yellow film on the thing. But to call it unhealthy for the new owner is ridiculous.
CanuckSARTech Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I love how the anti-tobacco lobby will cling onto this "with their cold dead hands", yet many of these same people haven't budged an inch in their caring of BP-A plastics, or lead in their paint in their old houses, or asbestos insulation, etc., etc. These people cling onto one specific "not in my backyard" cause, and it's all their life's work to push it forward. Because they don't like / want it, they're going to do everything in their power to impede your life. They need to get a better life.

khomeinist Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Well funded hippies - mostly graduated from UC Berkeley - and wear Birkenstocks WITH socks!!! Yes. All right-wingers lack teeth, dip tobacco, and have IQs in single digits. All left-wingers went to Berkeley, eat granola, wear funny German sandals, and prefer THC to nicotine. If you want to post political stuff fine but dont resort to silly stereotypes. GO CAL
Orion21 Posted June 25, 2013 Author Posted June 25, 2013 The CAL Teddy Bears love their stereotypes The People's Republic of Berkeley (Noun) Nickname given to the University of California at Berkeley in the San Francisco bay area. Title is a play on the official name of The People's Republic Of China, and is bestowed on Berkeley due to its students reputation for fanatical (bordering on Communist) political leanings. E.G Pro-choice,Antiwar, anti-meat,fanatical *** pride etc... Dave:'I was up at the 'People's Republic Of Berkeley' the other day for a potluck dinner.' Jim: 'Food any good?' Dave: 'Terrible. These people did to vegetables what Hitler did to Poland. And then they start ragging on me about the rubber on my shoes.' Jim:'What?' Dave: 'Apparently they consider chopping rubber trees murder.' It's all in good fun Embrace the Bay Area Crazy
khomeinist Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Oh boi I mean the Urban Dictionary is amusing and all but fantastically pro-choice and anti-meat? Ha. Ok man. Wake me up after you visit the place and actually communicate with people. Smell of tobacco and grilled meat fairly common at a Cal tailgate.
