I've never had the chance to try too many expensive or ultra rare cigars but I smoked a 1997 LGC M d'Or No.1 lastnight and it was one of the best tasting cigars I've ever had! So ill take 100 of them please! ;)

Now that, my friend, is thinking outside of the box. I wish I had more too.

... and I thought that the cigar genies lived in the land of Oz and were named Rob and Lisa!!! There you go... rainin' on my parade again!!!

Cigars are magical now, yes? A part of the magic is the mystery! I mean if I wanted to smoke cigarettes and drink CocaCola then i would do that. A magical smoking experience, and excellent smoking experience is just that. It is not defined by a monotonous always the same cigar!

I personally like the fact that cigars are not exactly the same. What I do want is an excellent smoking experience every time. For years the carefully selected (based on vitola) standard production Cuban cigar performed the task. The only issue was cost.

I don't know what my future is with cigars but if I were the wishing type, it would have to be bringing back the days when my knowledge of cigars and the various lesser brands and vitolas was useful in gaining me an above average smoking experience. My cigar genie would scrub Tabacuba of the 'party member' executives and fill it with people who understand what cigar smoking means to cigar smokers. I would want to supplant the followers with leaders that would recognize the entire range of the smoking population and work to satisfy everyone.

A broad cataloge that allows smokers to mature and one that frankly... lures new people to smoking cigars is required to keep cigar smoking alive. That is what I would wish for! It starts with leadership and a broad catalogue. Keeping cigars affordable for the common man is also a large part of it. The feeding into the belief of cigars as an elitist behavior... exercised by elite individuals makes my skin crawl. This mindset will be the death of the high quality cigar.
