Had to take out all my boxes last night and I had to ask myself "When the heck did I buy all these cigars?" It was hard for me to grasp how many cigars I had when they were tucked away in storage. When I laid them all down in front of me, it kind of hit me that I have way more cigars than I need. (Want is different story though, lol) Now it's time for me to go :cigar: and enjoy them and take a long break from buying more sticks!

There's no such thing as having too many cigars!

LOL I reliased the same thing a few months back, havent bought a box in months, and not smoking as much anymore. I dont see myself buying any cigars till fall...

I'm in the same boat. I look at what I've purchased over the past four years and just shake my head. BUT!! I made a conscious decision to buy while I can afford to buy and am "permitted" to buy. And by permitted I mean the gov't getting more intrusive and restrictive on tobacco. So far things have gone well. I dread the day when our post office has the logistical prowess to check every single box.

I realized this when I got to my third humidor so I have been selling off all my NCs so I can cut my collection back (as well as its footprint in my apartment) and reinvest into sticks I have to stock up on. The first few years of my collecting was nothing but trying new stuff. I know what I like now and I'm just going to stock up on that.

I check on my stockpile from time to time and I always find out that my put aside cigars is short. And finally no more wondering I found out that I have sleep smoking trouble, I hope that no one have the same problem.

Keep them lit my friends,

Frank you make a good point. I do believe sometime in the future things will get way out of hand with tobacco laws especially in NY, and wish I could save up as much as I can. If it wasn't due to lack of storage, I'd probably continue to keep buying though. I'm completely maxed out at a little over 200 sticks. :thumbsdwn:

Thats not that bad a problem. I hate it when you go to your humidor and ask where the hell did all my cigars go? I was sure I had more damn it I have been drinking then smoking again and can't remember how many I had smoked. Time to buy some more.

Space will always be a bigger problem than volume for me.

It's tough being "Bat-****-crazy" over RE's!

I downloaded an app for my iphone. You can keep stock of your cigars on this app. I've put in my full boxes from one of my coolers + what I have in my FoH online cigar locker. Next I will update my other cooler and my humidors for partial boxes and singles. This will be a nice way of knowing exactly what I have and what I don't

What a great problem to have and i hope you continue to have it for many more months.

I'm only at that part of my journey where the exploration has slowed down a tad (just a smidgeon) and i've started investing in the first few boxes of replacement 'go to' cigars.

As to facing the same problem you have, i suspect this is more a long term goal for me then an issue. :violin:

I'm going through the stock up now before they are gone phase. RACF, bgm are my top buys. I just add a box of either to every order I make so I can keep stocked.

Sounds like you're taking TOO much advice and mentoring from Rob! :buddies::rolleyes:

I keep telling myself I'll stop buying for a while because i have more than enough and then find myself buying again. Can you really ever have enough :)

Darn it. The day I make this post, Rob puts up saying that Cohiba 1966's are going to be d/c'ed. :tantrum: I need them but I have no room!! First world problems...

I buy, then have to add another wine cooler for storage and then ask the wife for forgiveness. LOL

'Tis better and far easier to ask for forgiveness, rather than permission. :whip::D

You can make room for Cohiba 1966s also, els are generally discontinued after a year so it shouldn't be a huge shocker.

I know right? How can I resist?

Btw. Your problem get magnified if using the online humidor. I don't even see my boxes and I am really afraid to count em...
