smpf67 Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Although not celebrities, consider Sheriff Joe Arpaio and Jan Brewer of Arizona. Tell the government we don't like your solution, we are going to make our own solution. If you don't like it shove it. Love it!
Dara Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 What about Alec Baldwin. I've heard Billy Connolly likes a cigar and often pops into Fox's in London for a smoke and chats away with customers....bloody funny guy!
westg Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 You got it firedigger....... the quickest way to a mans heart is with Chuck Norrises fist.
Dimmers Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 If we are talking pure mass market appeal ( and in particular the female vote) I'd go for Oprah in the Americas and maybe Kate Middleton in Europe. Ah screw that.....chuck norris ftw!
NMJoe Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Moderators, I apologize in advance and fully understand if this is deleted (it's been one of those days, all around). Regina Benjamin and Barack Obama. Cheers, comrades! Joe
FireDigger Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Chuck Norris doesn't always smoke cigars, but when he does...
NMJoe Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Chuck Norris doesn't always smoke cigars, but when he does... LOL
aes8 Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 George Clooney George Stephanopoulos Maro Rubio but by favorite would be............... Adam Lakers Carollo
cigcars Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 *I don't know if he smokes cigars but by and large I nominate MORGAN FREEMAN. That persuasive voice, that winning tone, that wonderful narrative tradition of his...he'd be a sure shot in being the voice of reason and sensibility in defense of our beloved past time.
PigFish Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Nancy Pelosi ... now that made me laugh!!! Frankly, people pretending to be other people don't impress me as experts at anything but lying about who they are!!! I therefore don't find celebrities (actors anyway) good at anything other than acting. Many, having evidenced to me that they have more dollars than sense; I would prefer they stick to making films. By the time they explain that while they do believe that smoking is bad for your health to satisfy their PC followers and friends, but they smoke anyway, they will have done more damage than good. My 2cts.
PigFish Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 I'll take a soldier. That is an excellent thought my friend. I have heard that when known soldiers speak ill of the POTUS they are dishonorably discharged. They can take bullets, but they can't criticize, or they will be 'fired.' This might be a 'high risk' proposition for them!!! -Piggy
PigFish Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 ... did someone say Alec Baldwin? Here is your man, pink stuffed animal and all, your cigar 'soldier' yelling at a guy half his size because he does not want his picture taken! As stated, clebes more often than not, make poor spokesmen.
GernBlansten Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Samuel L Jackson. Just so we could hear him say (in his best Pulp Fiction voice), "MMMmmmm, that is a tasty cigar!"
PigFish Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 "...zmoking izz done in zee right zide of zee brain, making deez activity, extreeemly titillating!" -
Cohiba Stevie Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 What was i thinking?! The guy in my avatar, Larry David loves cigars and he would be the perfect advocate!
Torontonian Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 For a living personality, how about philosopher Roger Scruton? (Read his I Drink Therefore I Am.)
