CM125 Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Rob I am so very sorry for you and your family's loss. It is hard to watch a loyal companion in pain and having to make that decision. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
sighuber Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 So sorry for you, Rob. I went through a similar experience with my Doberman. Very tough. Our thoughts are with you and your family.

bacalao Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Sad news dread the day when I have to face the same decision.
Drguano Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 I am sorry to hear that you lost your dog. Someone wiser than me said that part of the deal we have with our animal companions is we repay them for love and companionship by taking care of them kindly when the time comes for them to move on. I am sorry that time came for you and Cohiba.
El Rushbo Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Sincere wishes for you all right now. Their unconditional affection reminds us of what we ought to be capable of. They bring us so much joy; we are blessed to have them for the short time we do. Thinking of you.
jacktarnold Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 My sincerest thoughts and prayers for you and your family as you go through this horrible loss.

scradley Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Sorry to hear Rob, may Cohiba rest in peace... its never easy to let an animal go
capnshazam Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Really sorry to hear this Rob, I've had to put two dogs down in my life (Falcon who was 18 when he finally passed, I had him since I was 3, and Samantha who I've had since about 10). It is something that people who don't have dogs will never understand, and something that dog owners never hope to experience.
mbrody Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Truly sorry. Brings tears to my eyes. Keep the beautiful memories close to your heart and never forget them.
charlesod Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Wow, beautiful words there. I am so sorry for your loss. It's a blessing that we can put them down when the suffering is intolerable. I'll be sending up strong thoughts for you and your family.
canadianbeaver Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 So sorry for your loss. Had a magnificent beast named Rodeo and maybe they are hanging out. If they are, they are definitely having a great time.
cigcars Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 :flower: The thing to do now is to recount and re-tell the good and fun times you had with your special little guy. I had to fight back a tear trace in reading your post and thought of my long hair dachshund I finally had to say goodbye to. His name was Pom Pom, although a lot of times his name was, "OHHH, POM POM!!!!" I wrote and ode to him on my Facebook page; "...you truly were one pain in my ass! But you were a sweet little fellow and you will be missed." You and Cohiba's spirit are in all our hearts out here on the forum, Rob. Be strong. Cohiba IS smiling.
Jah Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Losing a friend that close makes you feel as if you are losing a limb my friend, condolences.
mykeuva Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 I'm so sorry to hear. Always a very difficult time...
