Favorite so far (in order):

Monte GE

Hupmann 48

RAE (tied for second

Cuaba 2008

My el experience is limited but do far that's where I'm at. The GE is on FIRE right now where as the RAE has been hit or miss. Letting the RAE sit for a few more months before I revisit.

Well, my personal experience has been very limited in LE:

Tried one 1966 - no good (was also a bit too big for my preference, so dont want any more of those)

Mag 48 - pretty good, but the box i have isnt great - i am resting it, lets see.

I want to try the RA extra & the Boli petit belicoso , at least from the LEs released in the past.

For true LEs (not LCDH releases, REs, or Reservas), my list is rather short:

1) Monte Sublimes LE 2008

1a) RAE LE 2011

3) Monte GE LE 2010

I did not really like much any of the other LEs I have tried yet, to be honest. Especially none of the RyJ and Partagas LEs have done anything for me. Got some Trini Ingenios incoming and have a box of HDM Regalos that I still need to crack after its rest from shipping.

Honorable mention should go to the Monte "D" - unfortunately, both sticks that I had turned bitter in the last third but the first two thirds were giving the Sublimes a run for their money. The Monte "C" OTOH is mediocre at best.

I haven't had some of the others mentioned but for, what i have had these are in descening order.

RyJ Duke EL 2009

Cohiba 1966 EL 2011

Monte GE EL 2010

RyJ Escudos EL 2007

H.Upmann Mag 48 EL 2009

The first two are nearly tied. Just going to give the 1966s more rest first.

RA Extra EL 2011

Monte Sublimes EL 2008

RyJ Escudos EL 2007

And, while others may pan these two....

Trinidad Ingenios EL 2007

Cuaba Piramides EL 2008

That's funny, I'm partial to the Trinidad Ingenios myself but you see a lot of people knock them. Taste is indeed subjective. One of my other faves is the PSD5 EL in 2008. I did not like them when they first came out but I thought they came around quite nicely. The main problem with them is that they were too damned short!

I'm not surprised. Mine were already bland in 2006/2007, while they were delicious in 2004/2005.

For some reason some part of the production of this cigar has not aged well…

I have a little more than a box of the'03 Hoyos left. The box that I am smoking through to this day is amazing and I just smoked one a couple weeks ago. My girlfriend says they are the best cigars she's ever smoked. I wonder if there are particular box codes that are aging better than others.

Here's my list in no order:

Montecristo Sublimes 2008

RyJ 2005 petit pyramids my box is smoking spectacular now!

Cohiba 1966 2011

Trinidad Ingenios 2007 (if they could only be cheaper)

Partagas 2006 D3

Special Mention Monte 4 reserva

Late to this one...

Upmann Mag48 - tip top consistency, have had from 5 or 6 different boxes and all have been great!

RyJ Escudos - smoking really well right now

Monte Sublimes

RyJ Duke - again really starting to come good

The 2011's, I thought the Hoyo SP and RA Extra were great right on release but less good now. They'll certainly come round to be cracking smokes IMHO.

Monte GE not yet been wowed but only sampled from a single box.

Hmmm.....

For me it is

Cohiba Sublimes 2004 EL

Cohiba 1966 2011 EL

Montewcristo Sublimes 2008 EL

Cohiba DC 2003 EL

Partagas Pirámides 2000 EL

HdM Regalos came around.

+1

Based on feedback from here, I ordered a box of RyJ Escudos and a Upmann Mag 48 can't be far behind either...
