Cohibas from La Marina factory ...

Hi,

have you ever heard of a factory called "La Marina" rolling the BEST Cohibas ??

Or does the name "House of Misterys" mean anything to you ??

Why is El Laguito called El Laguito ??

When i was in cuba in november, i wanted to visit the el laguito factory but everybody i aksed never knew where it was, alot of people had never heard of it!

Does anybody know general directions from havana?

I hope to be going back this year.

Fantastic story and photos, Nino! Interesting to see the Palma Real bands on that worker's bench. A few years back there were numerous fakes being peddled in the US with that secondary band.

they should know where El Laguito area is located - tell them past Palco - Palacio de Convenciones - that is past Miramar on Quinta Avda., then left at La Cecilia roundabout and another 5 minutes past Palco and the ambassador's residences, on the right past the Spanish amb. residence- but dont' expect to just show up and enter ........
