Michel1968 Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Not really a DC or Churchill type of guy. However a Boli Gigantes, SLR or Winni do make me happy!
Colt45 Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Muralla just recently blew my mind. Surprised I'm not seeing much love for it. Other than that, I see alot of love for the HdM DC. I just plain don't like it. Hmm... Perhaps it's as simple as personal preference.
JohnLeupp Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Shlomo,, you nailed it. I'm loving the Muralla. First couple were very spicy, peppery on the front end and moved to chocolately, leathery greatness. I thought the body was medium full, and as they lay longer in my humidor they get better. I also gave some Punch DCS that are stellar, and has moved them above the Lusi in my ranking.
DougB Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Favourite DC I've tried is the Lusitania. Favourite churchill is the Bolivar Corona Gigantes. I'd like to try the HUSW although I'd really love to try an aged Monarca even more! PM sent
Ophidion Posted April 8, 2012 Author Posted April 8, 2012 The RA Gigantes is now my favorite DC. I'll post pictures and a review later.
Puros Y Vino Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 For me. Partagas Lusitanias, Punch DC's, BHK56. I have a Monte A I will be trying in a few weeks, so I'm looking forward to possibly adding that one to the list.
BradNC Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 What is the big pyramid 3rd in from the left? Juan Lopez? Couldn't make out the name on the band but looks like a Canadian release? Thanks! Brad
Ophidion Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 If this is for me its the RA Canada from... Last year I think.
cottierm Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 If you want to go big, go big all the way: MC A for those moments which count. Very nice humidor by the way, quite jealous of you on this side of the screen. All the best, Michel
mk05 Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 If you are including the Sir Winston as a "Big Smoke" than easily that and the Partagas 8-9-8 are at the tops! What would be your definition of a big smoke if a churchill is not? I do understand everything's bigger in Texas.
thechenman Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 By my standards, I don't really consider Churchills to be a "BIG" smoke. "BIG" smokes to me are Double Coronas or truly "GIANT" sized cigars like the Montecristo A, a Sancho Panza Sancho. On the "GIANT" spectrum, I'd definitely lean towards the Montecristo A. On the "BIG" scale, they would be the Partagas Lusitania.
Skitalets Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Monte A, love em!! Also the Lusi. I am not really a Partagas fan but I like that cigar.
orangedog Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Great photos! And echo the comment on nice humi! Monte Sublime - great cigar, just had one the other day and it has developed nicely! Boli CG - had a 2006 a few weeks back that was outstanding those are the two most recent that come to mind
rcarlson Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 HDM DCs? Dessert! Wonderful when you get the right one. And they're frequent.
ramon_cojones Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 What would be your definition of a big smoke if a churchill is not? I do understand everything's bigger in Texas. Seriously, how is a churchill not a big smoke
Mr.T Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 I really like the DC format and love a good HDM and SLR DC. And I'm a huge fan of the Partagas Serie D 1 EL 2004.
