  1. Carne Asada, Tri Tip Skewer, Anchor Steam and a Talisman. Summer Lovin’
  2. And as previously stated, the U.S., Russia and other countries have higher cost barrels that have to be the first to come off line when prices fall. It's much more of a fundamental situation than prior to the shale boom over the past 10 years.
  3. This is a global commodity. The notion of one country trying to bleed one or two other countries is a bit of a stretch. The impacts are global. All producer countries are getting hammered with a drop like this, and consuming countries are benefitting. The reverberations in to multiple emerging market countries are significant and not limited to one or two specific places. I think the Saudis are more concerned long term about the shale evolution reducing their market share and relevance, and they no longer feel the need to cut their own production so that their competitors/OPEC partners don't have to. The U.S. Explosion in production has occurred amid rising prices, which is unsustainable long term and now self correcting, aided by supply disrupted procucers in aforementioned areas of Libya, Iraq, etc. coming on line.
  4. What a difference a week makes. S&P 500 up 6% from its lows. Incredible vol.
  5. CoRo without a doubt. I just don't get. They fool me every time.
  6. Rob, Ken, have you read Shantaram? Gregory David Roberts, Aussie, convicted bank robber. Large tome, but epic. Devil in the White City - Erik Larson, 2003. Great non-fiction book (which reads like fiction) taking place during the preparation for the World's Fair in Chicago in 1983.
  7. Love to see this. Jus picked up an HQ ULE NOV 13 box in the latest LFTH. Can't wait to to see them!
  8. I bought a box of HURR blind after the rave reviews on this site, smoked two and immediately bought four more boxes. They are outstanding. Have yet to sample the A.
  9. i think it stacks up very well vs. the Siglo VI and BHK 54 in terms of value.
  10. PEET's Coffee French Roast - Excellent Sumatra - Awesome as well
  11. I own (and have smoked) quite a bit of Cohiba's and tend to believe the hype exceeds the experience, particularly with the Esplendido and the CoRo. That said, the Siglo IV is in my top three and an outstanding cigar, and the BHK 52s have been very good and have excellent potential.
  12. you need new friends.....weed out the moochers from the table. pretty simple. invite some new guys and replace the worst offenders. i host a game and guys completely raid my stash (it is somewhat comical), but all of them offer to bring something (food, drink, cigars, cash, anything)
  13. BIG time Dodgers fan. My gal is a Sox fan so rooting for both, but both series have been amazing so far. The tension in the Dodgers/Cards games has been constant on every pitch. If we can even up the series tonight with Nolasco on the mound, I will feel GREAT about our chances with Greinke, Kershaw and Ryu on regular rest....
  14. There's A great place in LA called Kings Road that roasts there beans on site, and they do a nice job but a great espresso is rare.
  15. BCGs. They are simply spectacular. Don't have the cult appeal of the Sir Winnie but they have provided my best Churchill experiences.
  16. I actually read an article in a magazine from Financial Times today about the creation of cocktails infused with more fresh vegetables and odd things like bone marrow. Drinks where some of the ingredients take days to prepare. Savory was the theme. Seems to be blowing up in London and New York. Pretty crazy.
  17. I'd say Cohiba Esplendido - the Boli CG or Sir Winnie dominate this Cohiba Siglo VI (BTW I think the IV is SPECTACULAR). They have been fine, but lacking richness or complexity that fans rave about BHK 54 - I have quite enjoyed the 52s and 56s, but found the 54s lacking flavor ERDM Choix Supreme - agree with earlier posts regarding lack of flavor
