Does anyone else watch the FOH reviews of the cigar they smoke?

Hey guys,

While having my first CORO the other day I was watching the FOH review on youtube of the cigar while I smoked it. I actually have been doing this with every CC that I've been smoking as I'm just starting out so they are pretty much all new. I like watching and trying to spot the same flavors that the FOH guys are picking out.

Just curious if I'm the only dork that does this

I've not smoked a cigar while watching a review but I occasionally go delving into the humidor after watching a review to smoke the cigar that's been reviewed if I have one available or take a trip to my local retailer.

Oh, yes, not every time, but quite often i see the video while smoking the cigar - the reviews are informative, but more than that they are a comedy show usually So i would say, when i am smoking a vitola for the first time.

and as for sans shorts, make sure you don't accidently spill ash and that there are no wasps present.

Well at least now I know I'm not the only one Since I'm banished to the front porch for 90% of my cigars I don't think sans shorts will go over to well but I may give it a shot one day just to see what happens

Being a new member I thought i'd watch a few of the videos, lol there great entertainment I wasted most of today watchinig them. I like to read or watch a review before having a cigar to see if iI can pick some of the flavour notes that have been mentioned.

One of my favorites is when Rob asks Smithy what he's tasting, Smithy replys "Smokey". LOL. Rob says, "Smithy, it's a cigar" LOL

anyway, yeah it's good entertainment and I'll watch them sometimes if I'm having the same cigar. Although I've watched them so many times by now I haven't done that it a while. I really wish I had a group like like to smoke with and discuss solving the worlds problems, as well as discussing the cigar in hand.

If I have a cigar that I think tastes great, I sometimes check the vids out to see if the guys are on the same page.. Sometimes I agree with them sometimes not. There have been wonderful cigars in my humidor I reach for and love but then find out that the "Lads" hate them..... What does that mean??

I watch them occasionally, never while smoking. To be honest I watch them because it is like a visit with friends and it makes me feel apart of the "party" not really the review. If you have not met Rob.... he is really like this in life and off camera. What I really love about the videos is that the players have the same accent as the green lizard on TV and they make me laugh!!! -LOL

Rob and I have some similar tastes in the cigars that we like best, but he likes far more cigars than I do. I trust his opinion on the cigars that I like but don't seek it on the ones that I have had bad experiences with. I am opinionated as most know!

If Rob tells me to try a cigar I will often try it. Knowing however, that he has broader tastes than mine, if he just says that he likes it, that alone is not generally enough for me to be convinced that I will.

As for smoking while seeing the videos I have done it some times, but only with the smaller cigars

The reviews are the reason i found and joined the forum. Up until i was ill last year i would watch them as they get posted, but during a bad case of man flu last summer which left me bed ridden i spent hours a day going through all of them for the first till the last... there must have 180 or something at the time. I think myself lucky i'm still sane after watching that much of Ken, Rob and Smithy! Well......

I have tried to smoke a cigar while watching the review but for the life of me I can't keep up . . . 15 minutes is not enough time to smoke a Churchill, 520 or even a Robusto. Anyone else have this problem?
