fingerburner Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 For me there is a new clubhouse leader, and her name be Quai D'Orsay Superiores. Hit me with your opinions folks...
Wil Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Tried the Quai D'Orsay Superiores last weekend. Good but needs a bit of time IMO. Just finished the first third a Punch Sabrosos and so far it's very, very good.
fingerburner Posted February 11, 2012 Author Posted February 11, 2012 Tried the Quai D'Orsay Superiores last weekend. Good but needs a bit of time IMO. Just finished the first third a Punch Sabrosos and so far it's very, very good. Agree it does need time, but I reckon it has the best potential straight out of the box. Regarding the Sabrosos, it's mighty fine as well. Maybe I'm just over excited about a new vitola in the QD'O marca. 2011 is a good year for the Asia Pacific region. Bravo PCC
fingerburner Posted February 11, 2012 Author Posted February 11, 2012 We've been getting some cracking cigars for Asia Pacific RE's the last few years.....tough choice. Haven't tried the QDO's but I really like how the RA Estupendos (07's, missed out on the 06's) are going. Just excellent! PL Encantos a very close second for me, followed by the RA Celestiales Finos. All great. I'm not a big RA fan although the Celestiales Finos is a solid smoke. I hear you on the Encantos, but prefer the Robusto from '07.
Wil Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Just finished the Sabrosos. Showed its youth in the last third, but I really enjoyed it. Will revisit the Superiores next week!
Ghabanos Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 have only tried the QDO Superiores - I actually think not bad ROTT, but nothing stellar... I enjoy it...
Loki Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 I purchased 2 cabs of the PL Robustos on the initial release and they keep getting better. Half way through the 1st and 2nd is untouched. I did however sort through what looked to be the best of the best and filled the 2nd cab with those.
maverickdrinker Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Estupendos and Celestiales Finos for me.
riazp Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 I missed the boat on the estupendos unfortunatly, but for me celestial finos are my favorites followed by the slr Pacificos
almudawi Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 PL Robusto for now.. Waiting on my boxes of Estupendos, Encantos and QdO Superiosos to arrive I'll be able to provide an educated list by then.
Habanakane21 Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 So far it's been SLR Pacifico's for me. Sweet goodness
Neuralpath Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Of the ones I've tried: Estupendos are one of my favorite cigars- complex, rich, changes as you progress, dried fruit; Encantos very nice, expecting will get more complex w time; Pacificos only had one out of a box- was a bit harsh and unidimensional, needs more time
Drguano Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 I missed out on the Estupendos as well though I dream of a box appearing on a LFTH some night. I like the SLR Pacificos. Still waiting for warmer weather to enjoy a Sabroso. Like the One QD I tried but prefer the Pacificos.
aavkk Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 I am fortunate to have a cab of OR 06 RA Estupendos. Really a phenomenal cigar. Honorable mention to PL Robustos.
Scdalak Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Sabrosos ROTT and will only get better with age!! QDO a close second!
cigcars Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 PL Encantos; Punch Sabrosos; Quay D'Orsay Superiores
