Lotus400 Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 A few that come to mind Stan Getz Girl from Ipanema Steely Dan Aja Springsteen Thunder Road All different, all great.
Ken Gargett Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 anything not by clarence simply does not even get a spot in the starting gates.
buster Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 For jazz, I'll have to agree w/ Trane's "Giant Steps." Excellent choice. I'll give honorable mention to Brubeck's "Take Five" w/ Paul Desmond on Alto. For rock, while I have a sentimental attachment to anything the Big Man did w/ Bruce, I'll go for Lou Reed's "Walk on the Wild Side", which also gets my vote for "Best unfinished sax solo." Rick
