compitaveggie Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 According to CA today Habanos is cutting Muralla, Mercaderes and Oficios from San Cristóbal de la Habana line up I love the Oficios, will have to stock up. Jose
El Presidente Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Each of those have quite a cult following albeit a small one. They should be around for some months to come.
jawofboston Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 We just have to look forward to the day when the blessed hand of capitalism creates dozens of niche cigar companies in Cuba that can offer high quality products at low production volumes to satisfy the taste of the real Habanos fans.
melies Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 I love Murallas why do they go for the good cigars always
First Lady Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Low amounts of the Murallas and the Officos are still around but have been out of Merceeders for ages , just to let you know
melies Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 In honor and sadness of today cancelations I'm smoking a muralla right now! Lomg live the murallas!
Trevor2118 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 According to CA today Habanos is cutting Muralla, Mercaderes and Oficios from San Cristóbal de la Habana line up Anyone seen any confirmation of this?
sblevit Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Where did you see that on CA? I just checked the site and found nothing on this subject.
compitaveggie Posted April 6, 2011 Author Posted April 6, 2011 Read it on the CA Insider that comes out bi monthly with paid subscription. Jose
CBL Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Another LCDH release bites the dust. Guess it's a question of time for the Party Salomones & Culebras to go.
HydroRaven Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Cuban Cigar Website also mentions something to that effect: http://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/brand.asp...obal#Mercaderes
CBL Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Cuban Cigar Website also mentions something to that effect:http://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/brand.asp...obal#Mercaderes I think he got his info from this topic
Tarks Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Cuban Cigar Website also mentions something to that effect:http://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/brand.asp...obal#Mercaderes LMAO! Sorry to laugh but that is funny!
cigcars Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 *I WISH they'd bring back the Ramon Allones 898 for those of us who don't like robustos and where the gigantes is just too big for regular consumption.
Trevor2118 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 I think he got his info from this topic Yes I did, but confirmed by information that Jose kindly PM'ed me. Trevor. PS. I should add.....I get absolutely none of my information direct from Habanos SA, it's from forum members, website users, and website supporters.
anacostiakat Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Unique cigars. I like the Oficios but really havent gotten any quantities of them. I guess I am not surprised.
Lotusguy Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Since they weren't exactly hot sellers, I assume that they will stay available for a while longer... The box of Mercaderes I just picked up was from 2007 and that was from a high-volume seller.
MIKA27 Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Driving home from work this evening, pondering on the phone with OZCuban about what to enjoy tonight. Some nice choices there are but this thread had me thinking about the Murallas. I have but only 3 sticks left, do i keep them and grab more or do i smoke one tonight and grab more! Well, here I am outside, beautiful warm Melbourne night enjoying a Muralla. I got panicked as on lighting this one up it seemed plugged, cut away a little off the cap and its saved! I must say I really do love these big buggers!
