Don't you love those wow cigars? And by wow, I mean WOW! For me, it only happens a few times per year. The blow your socks of wow moments.

This afternoon I pulled out an 07 Boli Inmensas. I have one question for SAH. Why the *&%& did you discontinue these? God damn it!

I only have a few boxes of these but will have to pick up a few more before they are all gone. I can't wait to see how these evolve in 5-10 years!

I haven't had these for about a decade. Originally, they were full-bodied, powerful cigars, but a change of blend in the 1990's made them dull, flat, insipid and boring, which put me off. Going by the above posts, it appears that the BIs regained their former glory - before being discontinued! I'm wondering if sales dropped because erstwhile devotees abandoned them?

The Inmensas, along with the Coronas Gigantes, were cigars that I really wanted to fall in love with. The sizes are my favorite and the Bolivar marque is typically one of my favorites. I fought through many BI's and BCG's from 04-07 and nearly all have been light and bland. I gave up. The Inmesas being discontinued didn't bother me one bit and it would take a great deal of persuasion to get me to pay for another Corona Gigantes. Why can't they be rich and bold like the BCJ, BPC, BCE, and BRC?

Great to hear your box is treating you well, I'm sitting on a box with the same code and another TEB FEB08 that has much darker wrappers.

Every time I look at one of these short, fat cigars that keeps coming out of Cuba I want to squeeze and stretch it into a dalias.

Those cigars look fantastic!

I second, third and fourth that - they look scrumptious! :D

While they are nowhere near the power of the pre 95 blend, I've been very inpressed with the 07 Inmensas & have purchased accordingly. IMHO, the 07s are better than the 97s I had a chance to smoke. So much so that I passed on the 97s to buy another box of 07s.

I've had a few of these over the years and have to agree, they're one hell of a smoke. Shame that they are being discontinued.

The 2006, 2007 and 2008 Inmensas have generally been quite good, and are getting better. Of course, this cigar doesn't have the strength of the Coronas Extra, but they're not supposed to. They're an elegant, complex, and tasty smoke that provides a journey, if you have the time to enjoy 'em.

That box is a piece of fine art. I don't know how I would have any left if they were in my humi because I would have no self control in the presence of that sort of greatness.

I find these cigars to have a deep earthy component that is very tasty and unique. I also do not find them bland or weak; on the contrary the boxes I have had I would characterize as medium at minimum, with most fuller. A wonderful cigar that I will miss greatly.

Good to hear the last of the production run seems tasty – should give them a try as I really like the vitola. I remember some Inmensas I tried a couple of years ago. These were from ´98 and I had the feeling they were far beyond - almost no taste, very very light, utterly disappointing. Probably just a bad box, probably the „new“ mixture mentioned above and the reason Aficionados turned away from that stick and it got discontinued later…

Went through a box of 07s. Really enjoyed rhem. Medium/full bodied toasty, earthy smoke with perhaps a touch of cinamon. Quintessential bolivars and a shame that they too are being discontinued.

IMHO, 98 was a very bad year for Bolivar cigars. I've smoked several vitolas from 98 & all were either bland or had construction issues.

I'm smoking a TEB JUN 07 right now, and it's delicious

Just smoked one with the same code 7 months after this post.

The cigar started out pretty incredible with sweet tobacco and a butteriness that was really enjoyable. Draw and burn were pretty much perfect, but taste-wise I had the feeling these haven't reached their potential yet.

I only bought a single, but I'm very interested in how these will develop over the next two to three years.
