All letters received by HSA Execs have been forwarded and circulated to other senior and junior execs across several different divisions.

The feedback has been that they are startled by the strong response and they have put a team together to prepare a report on the issue/issues.

The letters only started arriving to HSA execs on the 6th of Feb.

I have no feedback on the e-mails that were sent but likely deleted before they reached their recipients.

I will have some follow up feedback in due course as several people are keeping an eye on it internally.

Thank you for all who took the time to put pen to paper :(

The fact they were even read and then distributed accordingly, followed by a reaction of surprise makes me one happy man. Maybe, just maybe we opened up their eyes to what we want, even if in the slightest. Great work to everyone involved and thank you for chasing them up Rob. :P

Thank you Rob. This subject deserves its own thread. I am glad that the letters had the effect of bringing this grave error to the decision makers whom have been "startled by the strong responce". We may not save any of the discontinued vitolas by the campaign, but we have made them reconsider their future actions. Thank you for keeping us informed.

This is my thinking. I don't think they will change their minds, but they obviously have heard us and hopefully will keep our preferences in mind in the future

Well said Tampa

Lets keep our fingers crossed that if they cannot be all saved at least some sort of compromise can be reached i.e scaling back production but not halt it altogether

There needs to be a fundamental change in the future.

There is discussion of a Habanos Retailers Association (HRA) where the worlds best Habanos Bricks and Mortar retailers come together under one association. Membership would be based upon a minimum level of Habanos sales, length of industry involvement, commitment to service excellence, passion to the cause.

Excluding all distributors, the association would focus upon those issues affecting retailers and their prime customers at the coalface. Deletions, Fat cigars, underfilling, overfilling etc would all be issues of mutual concern and action through combined pressure.

Of course....this is only a rumour....I have nothing to do with it :)

I vote that you have your annual meeting in the US to discuss, that way it gives all of the store owners a chance to meet their US customers face to face

Just a thought....... :buddies:
