acidmase Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I got a shipment of Partagas Serie P No. 2 today and my jaw dropped when i opened the box! Mold mold mold, I just contacted my source and I am waiting for a response!
Geo17pip Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Wow that sucks Rob, it looks like something got spilled all over them, so weird! Send those pics to your source.

acidmase Posted March 1, 2010 Author Posted March 1, 2010 Damn thats awful!!Delivered from the land of cheese i presume?? YUPPPP
Habanos2000 Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Not only the mold, but the color selection for that box must have been done by a first timer!
android Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 That's why I love the Czar so much!!!! Would never send anything like that.
thechenman Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Agree...Czar all the way. Cigars should be inspected for quality before being shipped, and for that to happen without concern...you need to buy from a trusted source.
finecigar Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 ! How disgusting! I am sorry- I hope your source can do a better job- I agree with everyone else that you should buy from a trusted source such as the cigar-czar. Quality inspection fail.
ChanceSchmerr Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Holy Cow! Brutal man, that royally sucks! Someone S-the-B on that one hardcore!
ucla695 Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Sorry to see that you received cigars in that condition. I can’t believe that anyone would ship a box in that bad of shape. Anyway, I hope the vendor replaces them.
PoohBore Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 can you shine a uv light on the mould and let us know if it glows ? just wanted confirmation that mold and bloom react differently to uv light. by the way that is an awful condition to ship cigars. feel for you mate.
Buch0 Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 That is an absolute disgrace.. It really is as good as a punch in the face to be delivered something of that standard. The vendor wouldn't of even needed to open the box to realise they were going to be in bad condition. It really does show the importance of a quality vendor, Rob and the crew wouldn't of even let this box get off the truck to start with.
dochowl Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Look on the bright side... at least it was only a 10-count box.
Jaksen Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I feel your pain! One thing is the lack of care, another is the humiliation and disrespect that these cigars must suffer. I say NO! No more! I will not sit idle by when cigars are treated like mold and the wonderful craftsmanship of cuban cedar boxes are demolished by criminals! No more! We must unite against the fascist faux cigar sellers of the world and say NO, no more!
Geo17pip Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 can you shine a uv light on the mould and let us know if it glows ?just wanted confirmation that mold and bloom react differently to uv light. by the way that is an awful condition to ship cigars. feel for you mate. Nah thats defiantly mold, you can tell in the picture of the empty box, the green mold spots. Some liquid must have been dropping on the box, you can even see the gold print on the band is washed off. Probably water from humidification while in storage. Its so weird i wonder what it was, hey Rob what does it smell like?
samb Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Damn, that sucks man!! What a terrible way to get a box.
cigaraholic Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 That box really looks like it was shipped. Cigars overboard!
Ellery Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Wow those look down right fugly...stick with czar and you can't go wrong.
acidmase Posted March 2, 2010 Author Posted March 2, 2010 My source email me back in no time and gladly shipped another box to me no question asked! I don't even know if these cigars are salvageable?
LeafLover Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 Wrong. All wrong. Somebody needs to tighten up on their QC. Unless, the cigars were shipped and the ship capsized.....NOT !
alan2 Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 My source email me back in no time and gladly shipped another box to me no question asked! I don't even know if these cigars are salvageable? That's good that they took care of you....Not good that they let it get to you in the first place though..
jquest63 Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 WOW! Hands down this box and cigars is in the worst I've ever seen. IMHO, don't think these are salvagable.
