  1. Australia is getting its own RE. It is just going to have invisible bands and boxes...
  2. I am going to puke if I see any more M2.
  3. I have a bunch of boxes I am freezing at one time and 4-5x as many more to go, but my wife is giving me **** about using too much freezer space for too long. So, I am looking for a published, authoritative paper, a cigar magazine article or anything else other than FOH collective personal opinions as to the length of freezing time required at different temperatures. I once had a scholarly journal article on this, the link to which I posted here and wonder if any one still has it or has something else I can rely on.
  4. Ironically, this is an instance of government NOT involving itself in a business matter!
  5. Probably not. but I am not concerned about "the slippery slope" either. As long as the reasoning doesn't violate a fundamental right, I have no problem letting a business exclude from employment whoever it wants.
  6. There is a clear relationship between increased health care costs and absence from work- in those who smoke cigarettes. Both increase the cost of labor and health insurance. Even though I love smoking cigars, I have no problem with any company no hiring cigarette (and other tobacco users).
  7. HdM Churchies are on my short-list, but no money for cigars so far this month...
  8. That was 50 sticks, right?
  9. Ever think of "leasing"cigars? LOL!!! (I know this isn't funny to anyone here...)
  10. Why only six hours in the freezer?
  11. Topped- still awaiting word from El Prez...
  12. I have no business doing this, but MINE- unless already taken...
  13. One last thing: You wrote about swings in air temp and RH. They don't necessarily mean your cigars are suject to the same swings. Tobacco is much denser than air and I would even bet cigars are a good insulator/RH stabilizer all things considered.
  14. Unless they are smoking poorly due to temperature swing, I would leave things alone. Otherwise, I would move the humidor elsewhere before looking to heat it. And, if the tower is mostly glass, remember that it has poor insulating qualities and that a wood humidor instead would be better suited for that room.
  15. So, anyone who has concern over the issue has an agenda? That just marginalizes the differing opinions of those on both sides of the issue who feel strongly. Under that line of reasoning, it is better not to a strong opinion on the matter. Sad.
  16. Wouldn't a vacuum packed box of cigars avoid freezer burn during long term freezing?
  17. Wallace will tell you where else besides LCDH to buy cigars. Basically, all the vendors along seven mile beech are legit. There is a little free-standing store in the Pink Plaza owned by the same guy who owns a swanky night club. Both have the real thing. Best prices I found were in the little "hut" of a shop next to/across from the Ritz.
  18. Its been a long time, but I wish!
  19. I thought I saw a post from Rob about a sale today. Or, am I confused?
  20. Honda makes great engines. Try to find one that doesn't require adding oil to the gas. Instead, a 4-stroke should have its own oil reservoir. That is how the four-stroke engines work so that is likely what to look for. Mulching mowers have specially designed decks- any big deck is not the same. sometimes there is a second blade for mulching, but not necessarily. Buy one with an optional bag in case you don't want to mulch every time or want to pick up leaves. By all means, the rear wheel should larger than the front wheels for handling and maneuvering. Rear wheel drive is superior to front-wheel drive. Yardman, Toro and Honda all make good machines...
