I loved them ever since I went into the back of my local cigar shoppe and found a bundle of Petit Cetros with 6 years of age on them. They had some falling apart wrappers but the tastes were spot on to my surprise. I really don't regret getting those cigars. Those fresh ones have that unique Cuban twang to them (some call it harshness, I sometimes search for that kind of assault on the lips) for a fraction of the price. There are days that I would choose a 1YO JLP over a fresh Cohiba Siglo I or II.

You know what? I'm gonna triple agree on this one. They seemed to have flooded the market a while back and my only regret is not getting more than 2 boxes. The Bolivar Corona Extras from that year kept coming back with more just like any TEB box coded cigar I've had. As for standard production, any Cohiba Siglo 1-5 would get my vote. The VI I have never liked and have barely found one that burned correctly, unfortunately...

An ERdM with a strong IPA is one of life's treasures. I've really, really enjoyed my last 6m old Choix Supreme with Midtfyns Bryghus. It really helps to mask the young harshness of the ERdM CS. Laugh if you will, but those American / Canadian lagers are fantastic to pair with some cigars. I used to only use them to mix with gin to make an instant gin&tonic (instead of tonic water) but they are a step above regular sparkling water in terms of taste that pairs very well with a cigar. My favourite is Busch. If I really want to taste it, though. I would probably go with a strong cigar with Hobgoblin. A British friend of mine introduced that to me in Belgium and it was a fantastic pairing that I brought back to Canada with me. Great with steak, too!

Wilkey! My fellow enerdgineering friend! Have you considered basic metallurgy as a light hobby? It's easy to start out as the moulds aren't too expensive. The only thing you'll need is an oxy-C2H4 torch which can run into the 150-350 dollar range. Other than that, it's a really nice hobby to enthrall yourself into. Bloody well advice, Bobbert! Asset to the forum as alway (well d'uh! ) I did a thorough quarantine of all the cigars in the immediate vicinity. the reason why I put the fiver in the bag was because it was the last little fiver from the box so I took em out and placed them there with my other "soon to be smoked" bunch. That bag went straight into the fridge and going into the freezer tonight for 3 days. The humidor is all in my A/Cd basement sitting at around 18 degree centigrade. OK, I hope. The only Siglo IV that was infested (it tunned its way out and grew into an adult) is actually still smokeable so we'll see how that goes. If anything, I'll just crop it and smoke it when mowing the grass or walking the dogs. My only quarrel now is if that is a male beetle or a female beetle. If it is a female beetle, they cannot proliferate without males, correct?

Upon further reflection, I guess I could hope that it's a male as it was the only one in the bag. But then again, hope is for the weak. I need assurance that this winged bastard won't go around my cigars. I'm just going to say that freezing ALL my cigars is not a likely option at this point until it turns to Winter in Canada and I can just toss my tupperdores outside.

Friend of mine gave me half a cab of Siglo VIs with 2013 codes the other day. I tossed a fiver in a bag a while ago and forgot about them as I organised them over the months. I decided to look today and there's the bloody flying beetle buzzing around the bag. WTFFFFF. Don't judge me but it got out. What do I do now? I mean... If it's been so long, would it have laid eggs in the cigars? Would it get in my other tupperdores? What do I do now that it might be floating around my house!?

I'm gonna side with Chris on this one... The Punch Royals have been one of the best regionals I've had. And they're pretty prolific around the world as well.
