And now following up a lobster dinner and creme brulee with my first Libertador and a glass of Laphroaig 2014 Cairdeas. It's been a decadent night... Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk6 points

Followed up this mornings RG Perla with a Punch Punch and a Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill with my brothers Bart and Jason on the back deck... Had a couple of Victory Hop Devils and finished the afternoon with a Salty Dog. Blessed to have good friends, good cigars and a great place to smoke them! Happy Saturday! Cheers! Bill6 points

Well, I decided to reward myself, after a long work week. I drove 2866 miles, in 5 days, mainly 2 lane mountain roads. So I kicked back with a couple of pints of Guinness, and my last PSD#3 EL 2001. After work I gave the old girl a bath, and took a pic. Even after 2.24 million miles, she still cleans up pretty good. She has a 600 HSP Cummins, with a 13 speed, and 3.80 rear end gears. Dave (A.K.A. Homebrew) P.S an amazing smoke. It pairs very well with Guinness. Has a touch of the Partagas profile, only darker, and a bit more rich. PPS. It was a great smoke.5 points

2003 Reserva Esplendido Aged 3 years before release the tobacco in these is 15 years old now. Excellent construction, wrapper a touch darker than typical for a Cohiba. Silky and smooth. Was going to smoke the Robusto but the draw was tighter than I like so off to the dry box for that one. This one has the perfect draw. Starts with light orange, cream, marzipan. Notes of vanilla and cedar enter toward the center. Finishes with cocoa leading the way. Medium bodied, medium strength. A quite good cigar and enjoyable afternoon smoke.3 points

A fantastic Edmundo Dantes 54...draw and burn were top notch and there was plenty of white pepper, cocoa bean, coffee and wood and a touch of something faintly sweet like vanilla. Hoping the sweet part will become more pronounced over time which these have plenty of... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk3 points

Sauber's summer car wash with a difference Usually, pit stops are serious business and may mean the difference between winning or losing points - or even races! But it's the official Formula 1 summer break, so we thought we'd entertain you with a bit of summer fun!2 points

Couldn't be more wrong IMO. There has never been an era and probably will never again be an era withso many excellent band and song writers. This was an era of change, a culture revolution was going on world wide. For the 1st time the younger generation was questioning authority and the regimented lifestyles and family structure that everybody was molded into. Government was being question, Vietnam was being protested. The young generation was visualizing a different world, the song writing reflected that. The fabric and structure of the present day society was being questioned. Music and song writing reflected all of this. There is no era in music that has even come close.2 points

A few bottles of the Highland Park 1990, this line originally released as a duty free exclusive in 2010. Eventually, some stock of these became available for retail. A local retail chain was having a clearance of the last remaining 3 bottles in-house at way below duty free pricing. A 20 year old vintage malt that is becoming scarce and a decent drop in its own right.2 points

Lagunitas makes excellent IPAs if those are up your alley. Prey much every beer they make is heavy on the hops. They have some really neat seasonals that go well with cigars as they are heavy on hops but balanced with malt. I prefer that to a straight IPA with cigars since it's a bit less aggressive on the palate.2 points

Bland, with a delicate note of carboard, as already stated in the 92 threads about these… (The spaniards didn't want them for a reason, after all…)2 points

What is the PCC release for this year? I don't even know nor care. From a retailers perspective ( yes..Boo!Hiss! ) If you can't bring out your supply at a regular interval.( on time"ish") ....year after year...then you are incompetent. Yes you HSA and Tabacuba. Your lists are but scented toilet paper. Get a grip. Grow up. Become a real company in the modern world.2 points

Microsoft, as many of you know, decided to re-vamp their graphical interface a few years ago to Version 8. It proved so popular, Microsoft decided to release a free Version 8.1 3.62 gb update so people could enjoy Microsoft Windows with a desktop! Many of you were not impressed at the time as the following thread demonstrated... http://www.friendsofhabanos.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=114546 Version 10 is a free update for Windows if you are running Windows 7 or 8. It's about a 2.7 gb download. Be aware that you need to know a few things prior to upgrading... 1) Free up about 20 gb on your C drive or it won't upgrade. 2) You need 3 or 4 hours for the upgrade to finish. 3) When you are at the very end and you are ready to customise your settings prior to logging into Windows do not choose the express settings option. If you are like me and you prefer other default apps other than Microsoft ones, choose the customise settings option. 4) You may find your Antivirus and/or Firewall uninstalled. I wasn't happy about this because I paid for a 2-year licence to use Kaspersky Internet Security in February 2015 and I wasn't about to give up that purchase to use Microsoft's default antivirus/firewall/malware product/s. I re-installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2015 without re-activating the product as this was saved on my system. I also didn't need to apply any antivirus updates upon re-installing. The good news is that Windows 10 will free up space on your hard drive and runs quicker. So far I'm happy. I'll post back when I am not!1 point

As far as I understood it's this: All tastes, sweet, acidic, bitter, salty, umami, happen to take place in different parts of our tounge. Therefore, Riedel have developed a substantial variety of glasses providing as many different "angles" at which the wine "hits the spot" as there are different wines if that makes sense. As a simple example, if you were to taste any given wine from both their Bordeaux and their Burgundy type of glasses you will find that almost always one will work better than the other. Riedel have committed to seriously scientific research on this... And, I am not an endorser for them, I just happen to live only a couple of miles away from one of their facilities Viva Austria! Cheers, Alex1 point

Moved to Apple about 6 years ago and still very happy with it. For sure it is not perfect and has his own problems from time to time which is, at least for me, nothing compare to the "challenges" I had with Microsoft.1 point

I've been using a 150 qt Coleman cooler for a while now. It replaced a foot-locker style woodie. The cooler is much easier to keep stable RH and holds a good bit more. Nevertheless, it only took a few 24:24's to see that it would soon be overflowing, even after pitching out handfuls of old NC's I knew I would never smoke. So, I recently added a Whynter CHC-251S Cigar Cooler Humidor. Caught it on a coupon deal for about US$250 delivered. It's great! I highly recommend it. Very easy to keep stable RH. I wish it were a bit bigger, but after rearranging shelving (removing some) I've upped the advertised capacity of 400 cigars to about 600. Regardless, it's nice that the wine-fridge makers are finally producing dedicated "wineadors" that don't require conversion, and at a reasonable price.1 point

If you know how to clean it and purge it, in most cases the cigar will be enjoyable.1 point

Don't know but quoting no longer works on this PC... The question was if the Faultline Blended was any good. I do like it - for the price it beats most other blends. I like it as much as the JW green which costs double. Beats JW Gold and Platinum for me, as those aren't smoky enough for my taste. Worth picking up a bottle to try.1 point

There are no cigar lounges in Toronto due to the nanny state laws that we have here in the city. There is a LCDH in yorkville. I work there from time to time so feel free to drop me a line on your dates and I can show you around the store.1 point
