$500 CASH GIFT

You were just given $500, what do you select, and what is the reasoning that you follow. Do you go to an old reliable RASS, BBF, Monte #2, etc mid-range price where you can accumulate 3 boxes or 2 boxes + a bx of petit coronas. Or do you go big like Sir Winston, or Lusi, Cohiba Ex? For this example we will not factor in aging time needed or warranted. I'm just curious, does your current supply factor in, or do you figure that the $500 was a gift and therefore your normal reasoning doesn't take presidence?

This is an easy one for me, 2 maybe 3 boxes of Diplo 2's simply because they are magnificent. No other words can describe this cigar, cheap, underrated, perfect construction/wrapper, pure mud cake with cream and snickers almond flavour. $500 cigar money for me couldn't be spent better

Like CigarmanTim, I would have to kick in a few extra bucks as well, but I would go with a box of Montecristo A. Not something I normally have in my humidor, but something I've always wanted. With a $500 cash gift, I'd kick in the extra $40+ and splurge on these. I guess taht means the answer to your question is that with this gift, I would vere from my normal modus operandi when it comes to purchasing cigars.

Why move to the US? Hop on over to the Land of the Sheep. It'll be an international purchase, so you'd be buying in USD. And since there's no silly embargo, your sticks won't get confiscated if found.

Then again, the place is full of Kiwis (not that there's anything wrong with that...)
