ARS 2019 Fundies are killing it. Preferred smoking out of ‘21 boxes for the last couple years, but these have been stellar since I started sampling again over the last few months. Smoke ‘em if you’ve got ‘em.

Yesterday evening's smoke: Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure de Luxe LCDH May 2024

Just an awesome cigar that pleasantly surprised me with its sweet brown sugar notes. "Fairy Toast" is when you sprinkle a little sugar on your buttered toast and this cigar just nailed those flavors. I'm such a sucker for a good Hoyo and this is still quite young!

This morning started with another PLPC from the 2006 50 cab. Now that it's been a couple weeks since arriving, I think they all finally acclimated, or maybe I just got lucky with a fine specimen! This one delivered on that caramel and honey unlike the previous ones I've had from this cab before. Interesting when the ash has these very small lighter colored specks. Are those the oils?

I couldn't tell you. Never had Majestics, and this was actually my first Regalias. Was good, not great. Minerality, toasted bread, cocoa.

Especiales No. 2 (LSO DIC 07). Performing great. This box grew on me over the years. Shed a bit of its initial fruitiness when young, but gained in depth and transparency. Becoming stronger even as it seems.
