Fuente Don Carlos Anniversario. This was exceptional. Far and above the best Don Carlos I've had.

Gorgeous wrapper. Very nicely constructed. Zero flavor. Big bummer. 

Trying to find some non-Cubans that are delicious and this was surely one of them. Sweet maple, nutty oak. 94 point cigar.

Sure. The 1964 Series in Natural tender be more rounder. In other words, not as sharp or crisp on the palate, if you know what I mean. The famous Padron flavours remain much the same.

Punch SS#1, LEOO EOG (La Corona, October, '99). Rough start. Clean punch, effortless draw, but a flaky ash that required touchups, and eventually a relight just past the inch-mark. Fortunately, no impact to flavor; copious amounts of aromatic sandalwood, light spice, and a creamy leathery texture. Smoked like a dream to the nub, classic Punch flavors that never got past medium.

A couple of years back I bought a few cheap blended scotches and had my wife pour them, and I tasted them blindly. This was my resulting order…

Funny how now though, the only cheap blended scotch I drink is Cutty Sark.
