losttvseries Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 i am not really into realistic programmes. i watched "hollyoaks" for a while and a love "prison break" thats it. i love programmes like "smallville" "lost" "buffy the vampire slayer" "angel" and even "sabrina the teenage witch"... however i watched One Tree Hill and it was amazing. the story lines are fantastic, i am only at season 4 myself, but if season 5 and 6 are as good as the rest, im sure i will stay hooked, they make you love a character then they kill them, or the leave, they make you fist wrenched and heart broken. total fanstastic x

Taino Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 BUFFY ?!?!?! for Christ sake Ken you need professional help NOW!
Ken Gargett Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 BUFFY ?!?!?! for Christ sake Ken you need professional help NOW! are you kidding? i know it is easy to bag it but it was a brilliantly done show, even if the subject matter a little odd. best one liners in any show ever. one of our snobbiest papers, sydney morning herald, named it in the top five shows of the last 20 years. the other four were all some morbid arty farty bore yourself stupid stuff.
chuck1rar Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 There goes my image of cigar smokers being a little more intellectual than the average Joe..
Stalebread Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Here's another vote for Buffy. If I were intellectual, I would point out that on top of everything else it had going for it, Buffy also dealt with issues such as leadership, loyalty, bravery, friendship and love, sacrifice of one for the many and whether or not to wear spike heels when going out on patrol.
Rogers72 Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 The only sitcom that I have watched consitently over the last few years is The Office and I never miss an episode of it. Other than that, its just sports and the occasional movie.
sandholm Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 I own a tv, but its not even in the living room. I have it in my home office, and we dont use much. I dont mind watching Dr House, but if we dont count the news its probably more then a week since i watch anything on the tv. I like reading, music, talking, looking on a screen I do 80% of my working day.. dont need to do that when i get home. cheers
Mr Peales Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 The Office, 30 Rock, Lost, 24, re-runs of Fraiser.
bassman Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 The Office, 30 Rock, Simpsons. Old shows I like are Frazier, Seinfeld, Twilight Zone & Alfred Hitchcock. Quite frankly, I'd rather play music than watch TV.
KB24 Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Weeds on Showtime is top notch. And I have the biggest crush on Mary Louise Parker. So f*&%ing hot! Prison Break was good the first 2 seasons then got wack. Entourage is still entertaining. And let's not forget the best all time series, original series only not the new, 90210. 10 Seasons of pure genius and greatness!!!!! -Patrick
mkz Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Simpsons and Two and a Half Men is everything I need...
puros71 Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 We talking alltime greats then it has to be The Sopranos. Generation Kill on HBO, Seinfeld, 48 Hours on A&E, NFL Network, History Channel, CNN is always locked on one of the tv's.
Chicago Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Gordon Ramsay - Kitchen Nightmares - A combination cooking show and Sopranos episode. And the Office.
DocRKS Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 XXIV !!!!! Rome - The series run on HBO in the States..... The Sopranos - showing the loveliest parts of my beloved State....
Ginseng Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 The only series I watch these days is Fringe. I'm a sci-fi fan and enjoyed X-Files. Wilkey
Morientes50 Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Simpsons and Two and a Half Men is everything I need... You have good taste (because you like what I like ) And i'll add Southpark, which is a bit juvenile but hilarious. The best social criticism on television.
