Everything looks amazing. I love the pics you have posted and look forward to more. I am very interested to see your collection in further detail. Do you use cabinets or possible have an entire cigar room? Thanks for sharing and I look forward to seeing more.

» Don..where do you find the willpower NOT to fire one of those up !!!

You are making assumptions. I have not owned this since it was first released.

I do not have the willpower. This humidor (as a complete unit) is not long for this world.

Dear God! What a gorgeous site!! Brought tears to my eyes.

If there were an Indiana Jones equivalent to the cigar world...you would be him! You have an amazing collection of smokes! whatever you do do not give out your address. But by chance if want to set up a Herf I will be on the first flight out.

Thanks for sharing your pics and stash with us.

I am not ready to invite FOH over to my place for a HERF, but I bet some of you guys could twist my arm into bringing a few goodies to Vegas in July...

In fact, it might be a nice place to do a few in-person trades too.

The Gran Coronas are really very close to how Shrink describes them. I find the 35th blend to be very bold and excellent, but the Gran Coronas start out much more mild than the Esplendidos for instance. They stay very smooth and amazingly light with leather and carmel and cream, until the last third when the strength starts to kick in as the flavor takes on pepper and coffee. (this is from memory)

Wow, very nice! Thanks for sharing the pics.

And what is this Vegas get-together in July that you mention? An FOH event? Sounds interesting. I'm always up for some Vegas time.

RTDA - I think it is July 14th-17th at the Sands Conv. Ctr (The Venetian.)

FOH get together is planned for the 15th, likely at the Wynn. There is another topic here about it, but I forgot the topic. "2008 travel" or something like that...

Sorry, you are wrong my friend. What Don Candido has is the 35th Gran Corona Humidor. Only Gran Coronas in this particular 35th Anniversary Humidor. I understand these were very hard to find and some people may think bunk, but I am not as informed as others and can't really comment on if this humdor was released through official channels.

There is a Cohiba 35th Anniversary Humidor that you have pictured though. It was produced in 2001 and 500 were made.

vadaaaa, welcome to FOH. I think if you take a little time to do some reading, you'll see we're a

little different than where you have previously posted regarding this humidor.

Also, in that particular thread, you can read Mr. Suckling's comments on this humidor - here's the quote:

"35th Anniversary Cohiba Gran Corona Humidor: A great-looking humidor that comes with 50

Montecristo "A"-sized cigars (9 1/4 by 47). Sells for about $2,265 in Havana."

I can only concur with what Tom Cruise's biggest fan has written above.

Hi Colt. :waving:

Vadaaaa, it's clear to me from reading your posts elsewhere that you're very enthusiastic about cigars. As you may already be discovering, it's generally good to make sure you've done all of your research, both about the subject you're addressing, and the community you're interacting with, before you publicly make statements about those topics and communities.

Hi Vadaaa.

Welcome to FOH!

Do not be scared to post again. I never confuse passion with ignorance. I understand your concerns and would feel the same way, if I did not know a little more. There were in fact two Cohiba 35th Humidors, as you likely are now aware.

I take no offense to your post so come on back! It is easy to have your head chopped off when you raise it above the crowd, but remember there are few with the courage to do so in the first place. It is something to be proud of. Of course, I am guessing you will research these sorts of things more in the future before posting.

To that end, another member of this board has one of the best resources for cigar reseach i know of. Check out:

That being said, I hope to hear from you again soon!

As for the cigars in this humidor - they are quite real and very, very tasty!

Cheers,

DC.
