The crisp edges certainly tell a story of not having been polished. Some of the surfaces had a textured finish that, after 50 years, certainly looks dulled...

Some of the brushing could use a touch up would be plenty. Orange rubber strap would look neat on your watch. Omega has some used across different lines.

I have a few 20mm straps waiting on the right watch. Might even be an orange strap in there - but definitely not an Omega strap. I’ll take a peek after I have worn the OEM strap for a while.

Both fit fine on you. Patek’s rose gold is a great hue. That’s my favorite of the two. If this would be a daily wear, the steel makes the most sense — steel, large, sporty.

I’ve recently been looking at this Seiko 5 GMT to add as my first watch. Any input or advice? Would this be a good first watch to purchase? I’m very green when it comes to watches, and basically the only watch brand I’ve ever wanted is a Rolex. This Seiko caught my eyes though and I’m considering it.

Love this watch, and I agree with Mr Corgi. Nobody can find fault with this piece. Cool design, good quality, excellent value for money. Home f-ing run!

Yep, totally agree with the above. Seiko is a solid brand with great watches. The Seiko 5 GMT is a great watch to choose as your first of many.
