El Presidente Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago What's up for the weekend? Relatively quiet one this weekend. Up early today to get a couple of hours work in before hitting walk/gym session shortly. Back mid morning and head off with Di to pick up mum and dad for lunch. I think we will do Korean BBQ today. Dad is 93/Mum 88 and both in fine health. Going to a Korean BBQ restaurant will have them just a little bit uncomfortable. This is a good thing because it takes the focus of the discussion off me Dad will ask why we are cooking our own food and mum's eagle eyes will seek out any and all evidence of uncleanliness. Mum is OCD on cleanliness. Have I told you we banned her from taking her bottle of cleaning spray/rag to the local bank ATM where she would clean the screen and keyboard? Where was I? Yes...home mid afternoon and by then I will need a serious drink. Football on the big screen/read ( physical) two newspapers all while reviewing some new Lancero BR blends. 3 hours all in and my favourite time of the week. Light dinner, movies, early night. Sunday looks to be an early morning fish with Ben although the wind may pick up. I still haven't got on our refurbed boat since we have put in the new Garmin Sounder and Garmin Electric. Reading the reviews, fish sense the tech and so "terrified"...now simply jump into your boat saying, "no mas! no mas!" Anyway, that is what I got out of the Garmin instructions. That is also why Ben doesn't let me anywhere near the electronics. Sunday lunch somewhere local (dim sum) and then some prep for a mid afternoon Zoom with mates PJ and Meaghan. We are planning a southern France/San Sebastian/Portugal/Coastal Spain tour this time next year. Just over three weeks away in total and planning is underway. We had a great tour with them last year to Greece and Croatia. It is great to have the perfect touring friends where everything is easy and slightly "wild". Cigars of course will be in play. 👍 Late cigar Sunday with Diana. We will smoke a 2Sisters Sorella Notte together and compare notes as to how they have changed from where they were were six weeks ago. Loving that range. I have been smoking them most days over the past month and only because I am bloody drawn to them. What's up for the weekend? 4
Big_S Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I'm a newbie and planning on trying my first (legit) CC ever tomorrow while I watch the Belmont Stakes horse race 🏇Here's what I have available to choose from: Monte #4 RyJ #1 RyJ Churchill Partagas Millie Fleur None are aged. I've read that Monte's are pre-aged a couple of years but don't know if that is 100% true. I'm leaning towards that one anyway as I've read/heard that it is the "reference" CC. Any advice or suggestions? 3
Popular Post Havanaaddict Posted 5 hours ago Popular Post Posted 5 hours ago Saturday I am going to replace part of the side fence and side gate. The cedar fence and gate has seen better days, it's been over 20 years so I should be thankful! Saturday night smoke a few cigar in my lounge! Sunday watch some golf, do the weekly groceries shopping. Sunday night smoke a few cigar in my lounge! 5
Popular Post Nevrknow Posted 5 hours ago Popular Post Posted 5 hours ago Nursing a wife with a brand spanking new knee replacement. Getting up at 2 am this morning for it was the most fun. 😀 Replacing belts and a pulley on a mower. Rebuilding a turbo for a friend. So basically work work work. Still better than being dead. 👍 6

Popular Post JohnS Posted 4 hours ago Popular Post Posted 4 hours ago Most of Australia will be enjoying the King's Birthday Long Weekend on Monday, except Western Australia (September 28th) and Queensland (October 5th). So I will be enjoying some time off after doing reports for work every night for a week-and-a-half. Today, we will be celebrating @Luca's wedding. A few other Sydney members will be there. (I will post up pictures later and edit this post.) It's also my wedding anniversary this weekend, so we will be celebrating that tomorrow on Sunday. 5

Chibearsv Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I did some watch shopping but my budget was low vs what I was drawn to…by a lot. Friggin IWC Portugieser 😁. Ordered a new set of golf clubs and a recreational bicycle instead. Saved money and I’m happy with my Hamilton watch that I already own. Bike ride Saturday morning and then off to friends house to watch the races at Saratoga before coming home in time for my neighbor's family graduation party. I wasn’t invited, but he’s Greek, so I am. Lamb chops and roasted potato wedges most likely. I’m looking forward to “crashing” it. A Carlota should pay the tab. Sunday golf and then watching golf. Cheers FOH PS best wishes to @Nevrknow and your wife. And Happy Anniversary @JohnS 2 1

riderpride Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago My daughter's rugby team is in a tourney, so we'll be having a small road trip. Rain and t-showers in the forecast, so it could get interesting. It had been raining heavily here for days and coach has had them practicing for the weather by making them do penguin slides in practice. 14 year-old girls start acting like 6 year-olds pretty quickly! 😂 No matter what it's always a good time by the pitch! 🤘 Cheers! 2

I'll admit. I NEVER followed girls sports until my granddaughter started volleyball. First game I said this is not going to be fun. I was wrong! I watched 11 yr olds give it all they had ( they went on years later to be State champs ) it was damn impressive. I enjoyed it all the way through high school. Taught me a lesson. Might not be pros but the intensity was just as real. Loved every minute of it. Growing up watching sports I never realized the difference watching paid players versus the ones playing with the heart. 1

HDGSN Posted 27 minutes ago Posted 27 minutes ago Friday night twilight 9 with a Wide Churchill and some cold beverages switching back and forth between the Finals and Shinnecock Hills content. Don’t smoke many Romeos and this Wide Churchill was great. Tomorrow will be a mix of yard work, golf, and pool. Sunday more of the same.
