Popular Post Capn_Jackson Posted June 1 Popular Post Posted June 1 We had a kid’s birthday party this weekend on the back porch, and my wife suggested I clean up my ashtrays. Then, she asked a question for which I did not have an answer. While I know where I got all of these ashtrays (okay, all but one), I had no answer for why I have this many. The FOH ashtray is my everyday. The pottery one was made for me by my mother-in-law. The Opus tray was a prize. The crystal one was payment for a recording session. 🤣 I’m very sure that some of you have many more, and I’m sure you have at least once asked yourselves the same question: Why do I have so many f#@%ing ashtrays? How many do you have? Let’s see your collection! Post ‘em up! 10

cnov Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Like some sort of heathen, I have zero ash trays. The closest thing I've got it a wooden centerpiece from our wedding day, but it looks a touch too flammable to be considered a proper ash tray. I need to sort it out and get myself a nice one. I recall someone on here having a nice glass number that's worth a look, maybe @99call? 3

I recall someone on here having a nice glass number that's worth a look, maybe @99call? When I first moved to Texas, I didn’t have one, and used to smoke on my apartment balcony. Somehow an empty Chinese take-out box became my stand-in, and I used it for weeks. Wedged the cigar between the upturned flaps, and always had a drink nearby in case I needed to extinguish anything. Well, one day I went inside to grab another beer and got distracted for a minute. When I walked back to the sliding door, I saw a small but substantial blaze on the concrete floor of the balcony. After that, I bought the star-shaped one you see in the upper right corner. 2 2
ReelMan Posted June 1 Posted June 1 I have 3, including two Cohiba ashtrays that my son picked up in a trip to Fifth Ave. cigars in Germany. I tend to use this lighter as a makeshift, though. 2
ha_banos Posted June 1 Posted June 1 I have 6 I think. Bit of a pain in the a** to gather them all for a photo but I'll try tomorrow...while the wife is at the gym! 3

ReelMan Posted June 2 Posted June 2 Stand. It would be helpful if the lighter came with an attached cup, as well! 2
Goldeneye Posted June 2 Posted June 2 I have one. If I smoke In my backyard it’s what I use and I think it’s all I will ever need. Although my daughter is getting into pottery and doing some nice pieces so I may ask her to make one for me. 3 1

Popular Post Chibearsv Posted June 2 Popular Post Posted June 2 I’ve got several but I only use one. My grandfather’s copper tobacco bowl. It’s basically windproof, holds a weeks worth of ash and butts, and it belonged to my grandpa who I never met. 8 3
