Popular Post El Presidente Posted May 4 Popular Post Posted May 4 Your Best Cigar Experience of April 2026/last 30 days? That cigar that over the past 30 days, stays in your memory more than any other. That cigar that if you can close your eyes...you can still recall every delectable detail I have had a couple this month. A magnificent Punch DC from 2018 and a superb Magnum 46 from 2021. I will throw in a BR proptype Lancero that I smoked with Hamlet in Vietnam. That rocked me. The memory of those three simply block out almost everything else I tried in April. Popular Post JohnS Posted May 4 Popular Post Posted May 4 An EML May 2014 Por Larranaga Petit Coronas. It literally hit that 'sweet spot' where it was just perfectly caramel. An exercise in patience, but well worth it! 17

Popular Post Chucko8 Posted May 5 Popular Post Posted May 5 This Punch Ninfa from 2002 was without doubt the standout for me. 12 3
Popular Post JoshD Posted May 5 Popular Post Posted May 5 N9 Lonsdale...I literally thought "WOW!" 12
Popular Post carsncigarsuk Posted May 5 Popular Post Posted May 5 My first Bond Roberts 109, such a fantastic smoke. 10
Popular Post joeypots Posted May 5 Popular Post Posted May 5 2020 Partagas P2. From the first draw to the nub this one had "it". 12
Popular Post Dadof3 Posted May 5 Popular Post Posted May 5 RASS from about 2002-2003. Definitely prior to 2005. I've never been a big fan of the RA profile and the prior five or so RASS I've had ranged from somewhat bitter to OK. This one finally paid off. Required a fair amount of touch up and at one point it went out from sitting about two or three minutes but a clip a bit below the ash and it relit fine. That's a long time to wait for the profile to work for me but better late than never. 12 1

Smoked a 2000 from cab last night that was superb. When these were fresh I couldn’t stand them. 11

Funnily enough, I've just lit one up (5 yo) and although I'm fairly enjoying it, I was telling to myself it still felt young somehow 🤔 9

How could we really know that when more than 20 years ago? I had been given four of them and stuck them in the humidor way back and just let them sit since the few I had in other places just never did it for me. I am running out of 20 year old sticks (my oldest got married and all of a sudden everyone wanted to light up with me and I was generous with friends and family since it was my first child getting married) and decided to give one of these a chance. I'm obviously glad I did but man oh man is the process for these flawed. I guess in general it's a bit of a loony proposition as pretty much anything we get we are likely to want to give it a rest for at least five or so years. 6
Popular Post Duder Posted May 5 Popular Post Posted May 5 ‘04 RyJ Hermosos No.2 EL - one of my favorite cigars since I smoked my first 20 years ago. The multitude of incredible complex juicy flavors is mouth watering. Some flavors I’ve never gotten from another cigar such as apple fritter and cream soda. If I ever run out of these I will be so sad. 17 1
Popular Post Li Bai Posted May 5 Popular Post Posted May 5 To me it was this Dantès, what an amazing cigar it is right now 🤯 Very rich, powerful but not overpowering and overall creamy and sweet all along, I can still taste it one week after. 17

I’ll try and keep this brief as I can prattle on and on about this. There are many that love fresh RA and RASS in particular. They love the raw power, young pepper, that RA spice that dissipates over time and completely disappears around 15-20 years age. I don’t. That is all wasted on me. The retro on that 2000 was so creamy smooth loaded with delicate complex flavors. I have never gotten any of that from a young RA. It is a conundrum understanding, experimenting & experiencing the progression of aging Cuban cigars. That being said it has been one of the great joys of my life. Once I discovered my love for them it has become my favorite pastime aging my collection. 7 1

No question, and I certainly envy those that enjoy the fresh sticks. As you noted, everyone's palate is a bit different and that's what has to be respected. I'm also a relatively rare indulger. I'm sure that plays a role in how they hit me. 5
Popular Post Havanaaddict Posted May 5 Popular Post Posted May 5 16' Cohiba Robusto Vanilla, Cream, Citrus (These are really getting good at the 10 yr mark) Man this CORO was on fire with flavor for days! 19
Popular Post Tunkat92 Posted May 5 Popular Post Posted May 5 I don’t have a picture but I smoked a GEL ABR 20 D4 that was lights out. It had those sweet cinnamon notes that I love all throughout. 9
Popular Post onlyMOFOHs Posted May 6 Popular Post Posted May 6 I don't have a picture of it but the MOFOH Trinity Robusto that a buddy had sent to me to try. It had a minimum of year of age. Admittedly I'm around a year into this hobby but this stick unlocked the bread note for my palate. Top tier smoke to start my day. 10
Popular Post chasy Posted May 6 Popular Post Posted May 6 This D4. Was on vacation in FL. It beat out Punch DC, Monte Wide Edmundo, Hoyo DC, La Gloria Torquinos. It’s funny, of all those cigars this is the one I didn’t want to end. 19
Popular Post Khimerah Posted May 7 Popular Post Posted May 7 I had the first Monte 4 of this SEP 2024 box, gave it a good dry box for a day and it was amazing. Good sweet chocolate notes throughout, could do better with age but what I love in a Monte! 19
