FOH Analysis: How Many Cigars Do You Buy Per Visit at a Brick & Mortar Store?

Now some of you purchase at B&M's far more often than others. I assume most of you would purchase the majority of your cigars online.  However we all get to a B&M on occasion and I what we are looking for here is your average B&M buying habit.

Well, living in a country where you can't buy cigars online, going to B&Ms is the only way to purchase so I hope my contribution isn't too irrelevant to this FOH anal Ysis (nice touch btw 😁).

That being said, it's hard to answer right now because there are almost no CCs here. It could be a 10 box, it could be a couple cigars, but it could also be a couple of cabinets or nothing at all. I voted 6-10 because that's where I must have been at when CCs where widely available 👍.

1-2 for me, if I visit a lounge I definitely want to support the business with a purchase, but the bulk of my buys are online.

Zero since you can’t buy Cubans in the U.S. The last time I bought from a B&M was 2003 I think. Maybe 2004. Ah, the old days, before I got hooked on Havana cigars.

I only visit a local shop in here in Kansas City when I see my Oncologist, as its a block away. Usually pick up a few Davidoffs and/or Padron.

I don't know how to answer this lol. If I go to my local JR's, I get a box of Padrons. But if I go to a specific lounge in Greensboro, I'll grab a handful of singles.

Usually a 2-3, but sometimes more if the selection is good that day.

It depends on where I am.

- In Kanuckistan, then 1 or 2 usually. 

- In Cuba, I maxed out.

- Somewhere else with decent pricing would be 5-50.

Lately it's been 6-10. Staples (Partagas D4/HdM No. 2/etc.) are still $20-$25 singles, despite the high tax here in the Middle East. I've noticed pricing on premium brands do not follow any logic, as Cohiba and Trinidad are 20-30% higher than posted on this forum.

1-2 in the U.S.A. and 25+ outside the U.S.A.

I'm in the 1-2 camp. Want to support the local retailer but not really smoking a lot of NCs outside of Fabrica5. Moreover, it's hard to find a decent sub 52 ring gauge that isn't a $15+ pepper bomb.

In Canada, it's 1-2, down in the States its 11-24 and whenever I went to Cuba it was always 50 per person. So with my current situation I went with 1-2.

It is usually 3-5, when I go, I am usually smoking something I brought, so I always grab a few to support the business, and always looking to try something new. Most of my locals keep it way too humid, so I need to bring them home and bring them down before I can smoke, hence, why I am normally bringing mine to smoke, and buying to take home and still support.

Generally only when I travel to the US, so it ends up being more than 10 but less than a box. And I visit multiple stores until I reach 50'ish cigars.

I only buy what I'm smoking in the lounge, everything else is online or from smoker friends and associates.

I go in with the intention of buying a few but can't bring myself to get more than one or two. It's nice to stand in a big humidor and take it all in though.
