MoeFOH Posted Monday at 11:28 PM Posted Monday at 11:28 PM Simple comp: Two questions (sometimes about cigars but mostly not). First question will ask you for your choice between two things. Second will be to ask you if that was a "don't make me choose!" or "No contest" question for you. Vote in the poll, discuss below if you wish . All participants go into the random draw for a 5-pack of MOFOH Robusto Trinity . (drawn Monday mornings AEST)
Popular Post Ford2112 Posted Monday at 11:37 PM Popular Post Posted Monday at 11:37 PM Taking nothing away from Sgt Pepper. Dark Side is a masterpiece of epic proportions. This is the album I throw on whenever I'm testing new stereo equipment. In terms of songwriting, atmosphere, production and for being a cohesive conceptual work, I put it up there with anything in the history of Rock. Sgt Pepper's usually takes a back seat to Abbey Road or Revolver for me when it comes to the Fab 4. All of it is essential listening anyway. The Beatles walked so everyone else could run! 7
tbelle7 Posted Monday at 11:39 PM Posted Monday at 11:39 PM Pink Floyd > The Beatles by any measure. 4
my happy place Posted Monday at 11:53 PM Posted Monday at 11:53 PM Sgt. Pepper's is a great album but Dark Side is epic. 1
riderpride Posted yesterday at 12:03 AM Posted yesterday at 12:03 AM Both are works of art and it comes down to mood and activity. I will say I can listen to Sgt Pepper's more casually, so Dark Side of the Moon gets a slight nod there. Cheers! 1
westg Posted yesterday at 12:10 AM Posted yesterday at 12:10 AM Never really liked either. I find them quite morbid and boring actually😎🌴especially the Floyd fellow. Bring on the sad emoji. 2 1
Chibearsv Posted yesterday at 12:54 AM Posted yesterday at 12:54 AM Any guesses how I answered? Do you hear Sheep playing in the background? 😜 2 1

JohnS Posted yesterday at 04:48 AM Posted yesterday at 04:48 AM Difficult to choose. Musically-speaking, Dark Side of the Moon is better whilst culturally-speaking, it's hard to compare the impact that Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band had upon pop music thereafter. 3

Ruggerpgh99 Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Dark Side of the Moon gets a light nod, both are classics. Not sure why, but Animals gets most of my Pink Floyd listening time. 4

I gave Sgt Pepper's the nod over DSOTM as it was one of the first albums I listened to as a kid in the 1970's, thanks to my older brothers' collection. 1 1

I'm all over the place with both. Today I'll give you one answer on my favorite but tomorrow is probably going to be different. 3
Goldeneye Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Was easy pick for me, not really a Pink Floyd fan. 2
Popular Post Rupe Posted 20 hours ago Popular Post Posted 20 hours ago This one was a no-brainer for me. I do enjoy Sgt. Pepper's (and the Beatles in general) but Pink Floyd has been my favorite band for the past 40+ years. Dark Side of the Moon is a masterpiece IMO. When I was 16 years old, my best friend had a quadrophonic stereo set-up and I was blown away by the sound of "money" rotating around the room. Add in a little THC enhancement and I became an instant Floyd fan. 4 1
Popular Post Lucas Buck Posted 14 hours ago Popular Post Posted 14 hours ago Dark Side of the Moon, no contest and it’s not even their best album! Floyd is an all timer for me. 5
Deeg Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago I picked Dark Side of the Moon but this was my first “Don’t make me choose”. In my view Sgt. Pepper’s is mid-Beatles, but mid-Beatles is still ridiculously good. I would also take Wish You Were Here over Dark Side of the Moon. 2
loose_axle Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Love Dark Side of the Moon and a lot of Pink Floyd in general but never really been able to get into the Beatles (having said that enjoyed playing their stuff in a covers band just wasn’t big on listening to it) so it’s a no contest for me on this one. 3
