JohnS Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago So diplomatic gift cigars from the 80s? Oh boy, I know @ATGroom would love to have a look at these! 😂
99call Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago These look like bullshit cigars taken from a fake paper cover diplomatic box. Put into a real cedar box. The overlapping cello on the heads are a telegraph. 1
Chibearsv Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago 50 cigars in rows of 15? 🤔 My calculator must not be working correctly 1
westg Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Will definitely have a crack at these. Always wanted a box. That price seems reasonably fair. ! Cheers Rob 🤙

ATGroom Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago For what it's worth, this box does look accurate to the genuine 50s from the 80s. The normal mistake the fakers make is that the label is very badly printed, but this one looks good. The cigars? Colour grading is all over the place, but it's a partial box, and they've obviously all been out and put back in again (upside down). The bands look about right for the era. Cello folding looks pretty rough, but possibly they've also been out of the cello at some point. Not sure what's going on with the warped cedar divider. Possible water damage or something. No pigtails are visible anywhere, but it's not uncommon for them to be folded totally flat against the head on cello wrapped cigars. The rows in the genuine boxes are 17+17+16, but they're loosely packed in the pic and there's space at the side for 2 more. I definitely wouldn't approve it for sale on BR, and wouldn't pay 3000 EUR for it myself, but also I wouldn't say there's no chance at all on this one. 2 1
