I’m going with Crawford on points.

Agreed. Canelo is going to land some shots, though, so Bud is going to have to be a good enough boxer to create distance & recover to avoid a KO.

It depends what Crawfords game plan is. If he tries to impose himself on Canelo...he will lose. If he's able to constantly step out to the right of Canelo body shots, and land parting jabs at distance, then he may be able to dance his way to a points win. But I can't see it.

Canelo wins with a body shot in the 7th.

Crawford isn't Mayweather. He's going to engage Canelo in the middle of the ring and will get caught.

My point was not...what is Crawford going to do...rather...What is the only way you stand a chance against Canelo? Which is the simple age old adage..."hit, and don't get hit".

If he stands and trades, he'll lose...which we both agree on.

Was just about to post this and I thought I should check first. Nice work Vegueros. I think Crawford having to step up two weight classes will favour Canelo. I really like them both. Going for Canelo. I think the longer the fight goes again it will favour Canelo. Both beautiful boxers.

Think Crawford is being sold a bit short. I think this fight is harder to pick that many think.

Honestly after the GGG fights I would never pick against Alvarez if it goes to the cards (i.e. I can see Crawford winning and still losing). And it’s very hard to see Crawford knocking him out. I wouldn’t he as surprised with an Alvarez TKO win but I don’t think it’ll happen.

They almost robbed him! Well deserved victory. Class act too.

I know most people want to see something spectacular.  A few knock downs and or a knock out.

That was one beautiful display of boxing against a ferocious great fighter. Well done to Crawford and undisputed undefeated all time great.

Yup. A technical and strategic approach won on a slim margin.

Two judges were 115-113, one round from a draw, the fight wasn’t that close. Alvarez always gets love from judges. He’s a class act too by the way.

Excellent fight - more a chess match than a slug-a-thon, two of the most accomplished, highest-IQ fighters to ever box. Great intro to the sport for newbies tuning in on Netflix.

I liked the fact that Crawford mixed in both. From the bits I saw, his transition from evasion-to parting shots-to full out toe to toe was seamless. A masterclass in making your opportunities, and then converting on them when they appear.

I was rooting for Canelo, thought weight was going to be too much. Bud did not lose any speed and had perfect game plan. Don’t think they will go for a 2nd fight. Always thought nobody could beat Bud except Canelo in this fight. Bud best fighter of this generation.

Lopes v Silva UFC last night was pretty entertaining for only 2 rounds.
