Brand for life

If you could only smoke one cigar brand for the rest of your life, which one would you choose—and why? Would it be for the flavor profile, consistency, nostalgia, or just overall variety within the brand’s lineup? I’m really curious to hear everyone’s thoughts—if you had to commit to just one, what would be your lifetime go-to?

Cohiba. They really are the best overall marca. The quality to price is not linear compared to other marcas, but still the best though.

Partagas for me. Variety. High ceiling cigars like the E2 and Lusitanias along with so many smaller cigar options like Aristocrats, Super Partagas, Mille Fleurs, hell even the Chicos. And the great Solomones. People mention Cohiba but I refuse to pay the prices on those cigars as much as I like them.

Hoyo de Monterrey  -  I like the light/medium strength and general creamy flavors, reasonable price (for Cubans) and mostly accessible. Double Corona, Epi 1, 2, 3 & Especial, San Juan, Rio Seco, Petit Robusto and my new favorite, Coronations.

Partagas or Upmann, based on blends, variety and value.

Upmann. I could probably get by with just the Connosiuer series (in all their different spellings) if I had to. Each vitola somehow has its own unique profile while still maintaining a core similarity in flavor. Familiar nuance if you will.

Harsh! I concede standouts are hard to come by... but when you get one just right they can be quite remarkable.

Cohiba would be my choice, if you would have asked 15 years ago I would have picked maybe Bolivar! I always liked Cohiba Siglo I, II, III and IV but it took a bit to like COROs. Now it is one of my favorite cigars!

Nothing really compares to aged Cohibas. If I'm going to only smoke one brand, then I would have plenty for aging. 

Second choice would be Por Larranaga. I would have gone HdM for my 2nd, but they discontinued the Des Dieux years ago.

Partagas/Cohiba. I guess if I could get all El Laguito rolled cigars for eternity I’d lean Cohiba. Love the honey oak flavors and the vitola variety. Also love a good D4/E2/Lusi when they are ON.

Partagas. Lusis when time is no object. D4’s when it is. 898’s when you want something a little slimmer. D5 or Shorts when you’re tight for time. P2 if it’s a leap year. Then a Salomones or a Presidente when you want to be annoyingly different. Plus they had the coolest factory in the centre of town…

How could I forget! The 898 varnished!!!
