El Presidente Posted September 1, 2025 Posted September 1, 2025 Trinidad: which is the most flavourful? Flavourfull? Richness Mouthfeel/palate weight Long palate finish layering/complexity Which one comes to mind for you? Use the poll and we will allow you to pick TWO 1
Popular Post JohnS Posted September 1, 2025 Popular Post Posted September 1, 2025 It's funny. I was just reading @SigmundChurchill's reply to a question in the Daily Smoking thread this morning (about half an hour ago), and his nomination of the Esmeralda and Media Luna as his preferred Trinidad cigars on account of flavour 'struck a chord' with me. I have to agree. If you look at how those two 2019 50th Anniversary cigars were blended, they are designed to have a heavier feel on the palate after smoking. 4 1

I am a La Trova fan as well, but to my palate, which is far from perfect, La Trova has less Trinidad DNA than the other lines. I love La Trova in spite of that, as a stand alone cigar that doesn't really fit in with the rest of the brand. 7
Duder Posted September 2, 2025 Posted September 2, 2025 Fundy & Reyes with Esmeralda honorable mention. To be fair I have only had the Esmeralda of the newer vitolas. 3
Gemini_Man Posted September 2, 2025 Posted September 2, 2025 I smoke more Vigias than any other vitola as I find them consistent and represent what I find to be the core of Trinidad flavor. But La Trovas are a special blend I reserve for when I want to spoil myself. 2
Popular Post LaoFan Posted September 2, 2025 Popular Post Posted September 2, 2025 I picked Esmeraldas and Fundadores. La Trovas are fantastic. And Coloniales are becoming my favourite quick smoke. Call me a sucker but Trinidad might be my favourite marca. 4 1
loose_axle Posted September 2, 2025 Posted September 2, 2025 Fundadores and La Trova. I've tried the rest of the offerings from the marca but I found everything else lacklustre which is really weird on my part. 2
Popular Post MrBirdman Posted September 2, 2025 Popular Post Posted September 2, 2025 I would say La Trova, though it’s kinda the odd ball in the lineup. 5
Fugu Posted September 2, 2025 Posted September 2, 2025 I think, the answer depends a lot on what type of smoker you are. I mean, technically, how you smoke your cigar. I don’t personally need a huge smoke output and a lot of puffing to enjoy a cigar. As for La Trova, no question a top-tier cigar, on which I went deep on release. But rather because Fundy was unobtainium at that time. In the end, like Esmeralda and their heavy-gauge brethren, it still is a watered down cigar for me. And as I once wrote in an early review, it doesn’t need all that tobacco to achieve a similar, or - for me personally - even more enjoyable experience. So, TLDR, my answer would be: Fundadores, Reyes, Coloniales. In that order. 3
Tstew75 Posted September 2, 2025 Posted September 2, 2025 Vigias smoke dense b/c of their squatty size...I love all the crazy flavors that blast through. 3
