Popular Post El Presidente Posted August 22, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 22, 2025 Gorgeous blue sky met me on this Saturday morning which is a nice change after the rain of Sydney. Great deck session yesterday which ran on late with a near full crew in attendance. I think for many of us, it is a highlight of the week. Quiet one this weekend. I plan on popping into a Vietnamese bakery this morning and picking up my dad's favourite Vanilla Slice before popping over to spend a few hours. I promised Di we would go over to the movies tomorrow so I had better find something half decent. I was hoping to go fishing but I need to find 4 hours work prep for next week somewhere. BBQ Tomahawks tonight, I have some Montecristo Especiales, Nudies Edicions to trial, NYT/WSJ/The Australian papers to read this afternoon with the football on in the background on the big screen. Man City v Tottenham, Wallabies v South Africa, Bucs v Bills preseason all need to be watched. I love my weekends What's up for the weekend? 11
Popular Post JohnS Posted August 22, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 22, 2025 Likewise, this Saturday morning Sydney has been greeted by some blue sky, and the ground is dry, for the first time in a week. It's quite nice! My wife and I are preparing our place this morning for our daughter's 25th birthday. I'll be on BBQ cooking the souvlakia. I'll need to take a photo later as Mike (aka@BigGuns) would definitely appreciate that! If the weather keeps I may pull out a short cigar like a San Cristobal de La Habana El Principe to enjoy. We're also catching up for dinner this weekend with some dear friends, which will be cool. I'm hoping the weather stays nice on Sunday so that I can either enjoy a Partagas Lusitanias or a Cohiba Siglo IV (or both). First world problems, I know. Edit: Photo taken. They went down well with our guests! 15
Popular Post Chibearsv Posted August 22, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 22, 2025 Bears Chiefs tonight. Some cigars and some burgers on the patio. Travers day at Saratoga tomorrow so I’ll see if can find a winner or 2. Cigars all day, no clue what our dinner plans are yet but el fresco at our favorite local Italian restaurant sounds pretty good right now. Sunday golf and lunch with my sister and BIL. The heat wave has passed, so I’m looking forward to spending all day all weekend outdoors. Cheers all! 16

Enjoy, my friend. Xronia polla to your daughter! 1
Popular Post Greenhorn2 Posted August 23, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 23, 2025 Sitting on the beach, bourbon and cigars. Throw in some fish tacos and shrimp. 8

Popular Post westg Posted August 23, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 23, 2025 AFL final round is underway with some big matches to shape the top eight. Collingwood did it again last and with that all but securing a double chance. I could not possibly dislike an organisation more than those horrible humans. Out for breakfast with the girls this morning followed by the crowded weekend markets. They love it, for me it's a task. Hopefully I can find my way to the river with a rod and a cigar. Some big, really big, black bream are about this time of year. 10

Popular Post virgilcain Posted August 23, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 23, 2025 Last relaxing weekend before college football really starts. My liver is already quivering thinking about it. 3 4
Popular Post Fuzz AI Posted August 23, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 23, 2025 You leave @El Presidente and the skies have all cleared up for a lovely Saturday. Having hot pot tonight with the family. 9
Popular Post Redgoldband Posted August 23, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 23, 2025 Well, we got back from Cabo last week. Monday, the littlest caught Covid, and we all started dropping like flies. Down goes Frazier! Had a Vegas Unicos and PSP2 in the dry box just a waiting. They’ll have to wait until next week, as now my time is split between nursing everyone back to health and pillow fighting/wrestling my 3yo who has way too much energy. Popular Post riderpride Posted August 23, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 23, 2025 The kiddies and I took a break from camping to visit the thriving metropolis of Vulcan, AB. The town was named after the Roman god, but rebranded itself after Star Trek and has become a destination for Trekkies/ers with many of the cast and crew visiting. Here's a few pics including an original set Captain's chair and console as well as many original costumes. Also, note the sweet but useless cutting board with ship specifications. Edit: @Fuzz- sorry, no Gotham, Alberta Cheers! 10
