Cigar Surgeon Posted July 2 Posted July 2 So serious question because I was chatting about this on one of my industry group chats: is anyone on here the target market for this? I feel like I should be as Generation X but I could not care less about Tommy Bahama and / or Jimmy Buffett. 1

Çnote Posted July 2 Posted July 2 I'd say about 3/4 of my local lounge population would try a Trinidad/Jimmy Buffet cigar if properly presented. It's a vibe as Z says, but I think this is aimed older than X. 1
Woody Hayes Posted July 2 Posted July 2 Interesting. They pretty much went all out on the box and bands; thus attempting to sway buyers that the cigars are superior.
Popular Post HuffnPuffff Posted July 3 Popular Post Posted July 3 Wow, holy sh*tballs - I am 1000% their target market!! I would mow down a street full of nuns to be first in line to buy those. Take my Hawaiian Tropic reeking money and hand over that box. I am British. I have never been to Hawaii. I am wearing Crocs with a pink tie-die vibe. I eat kebabs for breakfast. I am Customer #1. zaca Posted July 4 Posted July 4 They should take their entire stock, go straight to The Villages and set up a pop up store. They’ll be sold out in a single weekend.

chasy Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Rumor is that Trojan’s extra small condoms are being rebranded as “Tommy Bahama - Island Slims” 4
westg Posted July 6 Posted July 6 I somehow posted this in the wrong thread. Oh well...might as well stay now. The TB cigar box looks like a tissue box, BTW. 1 1
canadianbeaver Posted July 6 Posted July 6 Wow have not seen those. In Palm Springs we love our TB lounge attached to the fashion store. The appetizers are great. For strange licensed sticks, we will not cut and light up Pappy Van Winkle. Sheesh. CB 1
GVan Posted July 7 Posted July 7 There is always a market for this type of stuff. I have Tommy Bahama branded beach chairs, towels, a beach umbrella, Hawaiian shirts, T-shirts and an ash tray - I think all of it bought by friends or family as gifts. People just buy this trash. As another example of the above branded cigars; since friends know I like cigars below, is just a few examples of "gifts from friends"....I wonder how long they will last encased in glass and plastic? Luckily, no one has asked me yet if I liked them (LoL).
yuppie Posted July 7 Posted July 7 They used to come out with ashtrays every year. You can still find them on eBay and they're well made, pretty cool pieces of paraphernalia. 1
