If there’s still room please count me in. I wasn’t sure if “this” referred to this thread or the linked one so I posted in both.

You said this date would be fine. That was after apologising for screwing up the last one.

i have thrown myself on the dirt at your feet with the most humble apologies. i misread but now i have it cleared.

however, there was no apology for the first one. that was entirely you. allow me that remaining tiny shred of dignity

Would love to - what a great session - but sadly can’t make it - will be living it up in Vietnam that weekend.

Enjoy!

I’m struggling to decide on a good cigar for this - Riesling is not something I would pair with a cigar. Thinking maybe a BBF, but open to suggestions.

I am on a dry spell so I wil be using the "spitoon"

Dry Riesling I would go for a HDM/Fonseca1/Cohiba/Punch Punch/Lusi

Higher sugar content Riesling, BBF/Mag46/898/BPC

I have been drafted into watching my younger half brothers tomorrow evening - my father and stepmother’s house is strictly dry, absolutely no exceptions, so I probably won’t make it unless plans change.

I just spent a week at their lovely shore home in Avalon, NJ so I felt it was a pretty fair trade. Probably my last time “babysitting” since they’re both teenagers now. Time flies. If I can sneak in to say hi I will.

Also I would like to put in an early plug for the next masterclass: port. It’s a classic, great, and frequently overlooked wine that pairs beautifully with cigars. I’ll even offer to help Ken out since it’s one of the two regions I’ve studied and seriously collected (the other is champagne, which I think we did a year or two ago?)

Also despite my scheduling BS I really appreciate this scheduling for a Friday or Saturday slot. During DST the wider time gap makes the later starts tough for an early riser on the east coast.

Hope you all have fun!

I have a box of Diplomáticos Grandes Edición Regional Alemania 2023 that would be fitting. However first one out of the box was a plugged nightmare.  Backup will be a RA of some sort. The stewed fruit/raisin I get from those would pair well I imagine.
Will be weather pending for me.  As I smoke outside and rain is on the potential menu.
