Popular Post MoeFOH Posted January 16 Popular Post Posted January 16 Saddened to hear of this, big fan of his work. Legendary director, filmmaker. Truly original artist. RIP. 4 2 2
Popular Post Ken Gargett Posted January 16 Popular Post Posted January 16 RIP indeed. did some tremendous stuff. mind you, did some pretty horrendous stuff as well. not certain the first Dune will be remembered among the greats. had not realised he did elephant man. twin peaks alone was more than enough for any one man. extraordinary at the time (although i though he completely stuffed it with that ridiculous last episode. mulholland drive would have bored a fence post. but i loved blue velvet. i suppose no one gets it right all the time, but he certainly got it right more than enough. 4 2
Ford2112 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Inland Empire was an absolute endurance test. Eraserhead was even more bizarre. That's what I remember from him. 1
RDB Posted January 17 Posted January 17 One of the very greatest artists of the past century, a true iconoclast. Time to start a re-watch.

Stumbled upon Twin Peaks randomly one day about 10-15 years ago. Needless to say I was hooked. Such a solid 90s era feel. The reboot was okay, I watched it and was excited for it but it was never going to live up to the original. Fire Walk With Me was decent too. Never gave Mulholland Drive a long enough try to get through....just never clicked for me.
