You do have to at least admire Kirby's work ethic.  His sheer level of output is admirable.

Well worth watching, in my opinion. Sure, Kirby states some things that aren't quite accurate, but to his credit, he does clarify some things he wasn't sure about with Eddie. I appreciated some of the topics that referenced nostalgia, such as what Habanos brands were like for retailer shops pre-Revolution, for example.

Very well made videos. My only gripe is the drawn out pomp and circumstance of these gatherings. "Oh you choose first Old Boy! No you my good sir!!" 🧐 (None of this was said literally OFC but the spirit of such banter was there. That Kirby did not instantly go for the Davidoff No 1 outlines that it was too steep even for his budget. Especially in England where cigars get that added boost of being priced in GBP.  )

I enjoy these videos, I also agree there is a bit of excess formality at times. I think it's in the name of being a "good gentlemen" so I give it a pass.  

Do you think Eddie asks Kirby to pay for the smoke from the video? I'd guess not...but perhaps he didn't choose it for the reasons you've said.

It must be difficult to keep the formality all day long and spending hour/s shaving, hair care and suiting up...etc. But I guess that's his brand for the viewers.

Yes you can!. Metaphorically. Like a foie-gras goose. Their digital gruel will be shoved into your eye sockets, until your grey matter, becomes so grossly swollen and sullied with poor/useless information, that not only will you start to resemble John Merrick, but will actually start to think their videos are good.

Alright, alright. I know I kind of started on a bit of a rant of his videos.  But, let's ease back on personal attacks of the guy. He has his own niche in this hobby. It may not be for everyone, but it does seem to be for many.  As Rob has quipped before. "Play the ball. Not the Man".

I'm betting he does.  Let's say the Sahakians entertained 25 cigar Influencers. If they were smart, they'd cherry pick the Davidoff No 1. They'd be down 1 box of vintage Davidoff and a whole lot of revenue/profit.  So, I think.  They entertain him, the drinks may be free but the cigars at the end of the day are tallied and he is handed a bill.  For his purchase, they will sit down with him, chat, smoke, drink etc. It's good exposure for them, sure. But not at the expense of a Cuban Davidoff or other rare and HTF vintage stock.

I can say with total confidence that Kirby was not charged for the cigars, and I'd think it likely that Eddie offered him whatever was left on the tray when the session ended.

Perhaps he didn't take the Davidoff because he has enough class not to reach for the most expensive stick, or perhaps he knows what anybody who has had one knows, which is that Cuban Davidoff passed their prime 20 years ago.

Thanks for your input. If that's the case, that's very generous of him to do so. Having smoked a 1970 Davidoff No 1 back in 2010. I can attest that it was not past its prime. The 1985 Dom P I had though? It was. 😔

Thanks for your input Alex, was my thought as well for sure. I also don't think they entertain that many influencers/Kirby is the only one they break out the vintage stuff for. Naturally, a lot of pre-planning & thought goes into these productions so that selection may of not been a complete surprise - especially with the Habanos Bolivar event in London around the corner at the time of filming.
