Cigar shops in Rome, Florence, and Venice.

For Rome. Try and visit the LCDH. Do call ahead. They keep such odd hours and have been known to take 2 hours lunches and close up the shop. I wouldn't expect to find much there.

Next stop Renzios. It's by the Pantheon. If you're facing the Pantheon. Go to your right. It looks like a cafe. There's a cabinet humidor in there. If you see something you like, they might have boxes there stored downstairs. In 2019 I grabbed 5 boxes of LGC Invictos for release price. I highly suggest buying a single or two of something to smoke there along with an adult beverage of choice. :)

Not sure if you already looked on here. I see a lot of Habanos specialist & Habanos Point retailers. They have contact info.

Enjoy your time in 🇮🇹

Been hard meeting up lately with you guys wife picked up side gig doing home infusions on Saturday's 8-12. Having to babysit until we find reliable babysitter. Let me know if you wanna play b4 or after your vacation!

Yeah, there are too many too choose from there, most of which, in person, turn out to be underwhelming.  I was just hoping to narrow it down as most cities have a few really good shops, so it saves a lot of time to know where they are ahead of time.

As to golf, no time to play before, as I am leaving tomorrow.  Maybe when I get back some time before my next trip on July 4th week.

Was in Rome  in May and went to Fincanto, the LCDH and they had nada! They were expecting a delivery the following day but I couldn't get back. Wished I had known about the place by the Panthenon though.

Thank you. Someone else recommended Renzios to me as well, so I guess that is a good sign.  😀

Fincato LCDH in Rome is a must visit...beautiful multi-story shop. I was there in October 2023 and they had only NCs...zero CCs. And they were not getting great supply of CC at the time. Hopefully that changes.

Yeah, it's a great shop to visit. Sadly, their cigar stock is pathetic. Also, I get the impression, the sock away stock for their regular clientele as it comes in. In Rome I'm sure there's demand. When I was last there Sept, 2022 they were only selling singles from 4 different Cuban boxes. In the humidor I saw a few Mantua cabs, Monte 2019 EL's and some BBF's IIRC. All of them were customer purchases awaiting pickup.

I think you are right about saving stuff for regulars. There must be a lot of tourists going through that shop.

Yup, absolutely saving stuff for regulars. As a man that lives in a popular tourist city with effectively one cigar retailer, I’m all for it tbh.

Just realized I had a picture of Caffe Di Rienzo. This is what you're looking for in Rome.

Note: I spelled it wrong in previous posts.

Yes Di Rienzo had Trini’s and is a nice spot. Fincato Rome - beautiful shop, but think they were holding out stock for their regulars. In Florence - nice pipe and cigar shop Castellana behind the duomo, only NC but very friendly and really interesting. A couple of the Sorrento shops at least had a few.

Went to both last May. Renzio had a few tubos. LCDH was out. Best selection I saw in Italy was at the LCDH in Capri. Great singles and a number of boxes. Have a great trip. There is also a cafe near the Pantheon that roasts their own beans. We stumbled on it - lots of celebrity pictures on the wall. Brought back a kilo of their beans. Wish I had bought more. Our driver laughed when we told him where we went - he was like people come to Rome just to get the espresso there. We went in because they had a bathroom and I felt the need to buy something.

On my last day of the trip, I went back to Rome, where I fly out of tomorrow.  I gave Fincato a 3rd ad final try today, but I keep getting this....

I just keep going when they are not open.  I should probably check out their hours BEFORE I go.  LOL

So I went back to Caffe Di Rienzo again.  They could not be nicer at this place.  And I love how I can have coffee and a cigar at a table where I can see the columns of the Parthenon.

This is their current selection.  Not a huge selection, but there is something for every taste in there.

Glad Di Rienzo's worked out for you. FWIW, it literally took me three trips to Italy to finally walk through the door at Fincato. First time, there was a note on the door that they were on vacation for 3 weeks. I landed smack dab in the middle of the dates. Another two times, the locked door as pictured. Possibly on 3 hour lunches or they were bunkered down watching a critical soccer game. The fourth attempt I saw the door open, 3 people came outside. It was the staff and they were about to lock up for lunch. I ran over yelling in Italian. I reserved two boxes of La Escepcion Selectos Finos. One guy whisked me upstairs to get the deal done. Only ended up taking one box home as they sold a few singles out of the other one. Looking back, I should have bought the partial. So much for "reserving".
