BoliDan Posted January 15 Posted January 15 So it is currently -10°F (-22°C) in good ole Colorado. Anyone else try their luck at a smoke and decide it was not worth it? I went out, and thought a Boli PC would be great, but I was only met with freezing pain and an inability to light my lighter. Wow US and and Canada. COLD!!! 🥶 2
Ford2112 Posted January 15 Posted January 15 This is the fastest clearing river in California. I don't think it'll be fishable for a while 😵💫

COLD!!! 🥶 It was -9°F yesterday when I lit up my N1 with a cup of coffee. Garage heater is a key to happiness my friend. I had it at 70°F yesterday for football and cigars and I turn it down to 50°F overnight in this weather just so cans or bottles that are out there don't bust open. 1
ha_banos Posted January 15 Posted January 15 As we're doing the weather channel... It's -1°C here this morning (10AM). Was 2°C last night when i was thinking of going out for a cigar. I promptly stopped thinking about it. For those unable to do the conversion in real time -20 °C -4.0 °F -10 °C 14.0 °F -4 °C 24.8 °F -3 °C 26.6 °F -2 °C 28.4 °F -1 °C 30.2 °F 0 °C 32.0 °F 1 °C 33.8 °F 2 °C 35.6 °F 3 °C 37.4 °F 4 °C 39.2 °F 5 °C 41.0 °F When are you lot going to get off F? Eh? Be like us and have metres, feet, mph, Celsius. kg, lbs, pounds, everything - I'm sure they think it's less confusing... 1

jazzboypro Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Up until January 6 there was no snow at all in Montreal with temperature between 0° and 4° Celsius. Since January 7 we had to snowstorm leaving over 30 Cm of snow and temperature is around -7° Celsius during the day. I will probably not smoke outside until April at best but most likely somewhere in May.
Corylax18 Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I didn't even think about trying it this weekend. I lose interest in smoking outside when the mercury drops below about 50°F. Haha.
Popular Post Biggerfaster40 Posted January 15 Popular Post Posted January 15 Icy frigid weather called me to a cigar yesterday. About 15°-18°F… didn’t wanna waste a CC so I took an AF Hemingway Work of Art for a stroll. My trick is usually to use a seedling heat mat to sit on when it’s this cold out, works a treat, except it was so cold out the heating mat wouldn’t even turn on 3 5
Popular Post targa88 Posted January 15 Popular Post Posted January 15 Warming up a bit this morning Yesterday -34°C with windchill -44°C. Was chatting with a chap a couple of hours North of us= -50°C. All relative at these extreme temps. 6 1
eltoroosborne Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Dude, you are crazy to outside in that weather to smoke. lol!

We clearly don't know where we want to be. 1
puromaniac Posted January 15 Posted January 15 "Warmed" up to -2° C today in coastal British Columbia. Best part, no wind. Sitting in my outside shelter with a heater and doing fine with a RASS. Ok, not as pleasant as smoking it in Cuba, but have to make do.
jazzboypro Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Here we use both depending on what we are talking about !!

The amazing part is that I was taught the metric system in grammar school and middle school. High School and beyond, only in science class. Why it hasn't taken hold here is beyond me. It certainly is easier to know that a kilometer is 1000 meters rather than a mile being 1760 yards. I don't know who's lobbying for the imperial system to remain. It seems to me that the US would have leapt at the opportunity to get off a measurement system related to the British Empire; but there is no indication that will ever happen. 1 1

Biggerfaster40 Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I just said screw it and decided to take the dog for a walk in this misery and puff a cheap stick. 1
Islandboy Posted January 15 Posted January 15 It got down real close to 60° F here on Maui over the weekend. I had to put socks on to keep from getting frostbite. 3 1
Capn_Jackson Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Finally got up to the 20’s (Fahrenheit) in Ft Worth, and I’ve been craving a Boli. Corona junior it is!

Lt4-396 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I really don't know how you folks do it. I have a cast iron Vermont Casting stove outside for when it's 45F-60F and no wind. Anything below that and I go into my heated shop with the extraction fans on. Even with that I get a shiver here and there and it kills the enjoyment. I can not even imagine being outside when it's single digits F or below, let alone smoke a cigar.
