Halloween has never been a part of my growing up but it has ingrained itself in a section of the Oz world. God knows half the houses in my street are decked out in cobwebs, pumpkins and skeletons today 

We have Czar cigar deck members throwing out Halloween parties and the streaming channels are full of "Halloween Horror Week" Movies. 

Two things: 

1. 5 X 5 Nudies packs of the best halloween photos of you and/or your family. Go into the draw. Post on this thread. 

2. The Horror movie that still put's goosebumps under your skin!

1)  Here's some pics of me and a couple of the kids!   

Gotta love my annual old man "I love bingo" hat.  Always gets a few laughs!  And...... the best part.... I can smoke a stick through it!  

Pizza man!!!   

Needs no explanation.  lol

2) Horror flick with the most goosebumps.....   The Nun - from 2018, this one still freaks me out.  Any religious genre with possessed souls freaks me out.  lol   Because it's too realistic!

1) Here are some pics of my kids, my nephew, and nieces. Also a video of how I set up my house. Halloween is one of my favorite things to celebrate. Also how I set my house up. I like to add more each year. I stay home and hand out full size candy bars. I love seeing the kids facial reactions to the candy after they go through my animatronics makes it worth it for the kids that get scared. Still working on hiding some of the stuff like fog machine and other minor things. 

 

2) I’m still a fan of the original exorcist movie or the Nun like previously stated. Also the conjuring movies are good as well.

Somehow I missed seeing "The Thing" until very recently. Man, what a fantastic movie. The very best of John Carpenter IMHO.

Forgot to add my own recommendation for Horror Movie: Jacob's Ladder (1990). Saw it once when I was much younger and never had the nerve to watch it again.

Miss walking with the kids when they were young how excited they were getting all the candy. Of course it was a good excuse for multiple cigar night and some houses had special drinks for the “adults”. Back then nobody cared that were were smoking- it wasn’t cigarettes lol. Wife dressed up for work. Probably should have brought back the Frankenstein costume and smoking the The Frank while giving out candy but don’t think parents these days would have liked that 
 

Fav horror movie- of course The Exorcist- is there any doubt.

I'm a pretty big movie guy, but not a big horror fan. Well, I'm running out of movies to watch, so i went pretty deep into shocktober this year. 

Watching for the first time in the last couple weeks:

The Exorcist 1-4 (one was fantastic, three was also really good!)

The Thing (yep, fun)

The Fly (super fun!)

The Evil Dead (not as great as many people told me it would be)

Event Horizon (as cool as people told me it would be)

In the Mouth of Madness (same actor as the Dr from Event Horizon, and also very fun)

The Descent (don't watch if you are claustrophobic)

Saw (much better than I thought it would be)

1408 (silly, but pretty cool)

Terrified (foreign language horror)

Pi (math thriller)

Cube (better math thriller)

Drag Me to Hell (silly, but some really awesome scenes)

The Void (hospital nightmares)

The Ring (way better than I thought it would be)

and finally....

The Triangle (psych thriller at its finest)

 

I love having a group of movie nut friends who can guide me without getting stuck in "b horror junk". (that's a scene that I don't dig)

before the run of movies I posted above, I was actually pretty 'anti horror'....because most of what I experienced was dumb ass "b horror" stupid shit. 

But so many of what I watched I really enjoyed...especially the psych horror stuff. 

Like going beyond dumb horror to actually see some good stuff.

We celebrated Halloween a little earlier in the month at some families campground. The whole place dresses up and does trick or treating by walking from camp site to camp site. This year's theme for my family was 101 Dalmatians. Last night my daughter got dressed up again but we got a bit of snow here in the mitten state....so we decided to go out to eat instead. 😆

 

As for the movie that still give me nightmares....gotta be The Conjuring. All because of that damn 'clapping' 👏☠️

Here is my 6 year old as a zombie. This is the first year he has committed to a full costume and gone all in on Halloween although it has been his favorite holiday for some time!

My most memorable horror movie is Vargtimmen, an old Ingmar Bergman film. It has scenes that still give me chills just thinking about them!

Got together with some friends and carved some pumpkins while throwing down some beers and grilling. Really enjoy Halloween.

Also have been working through HBO’s ‘The Last of Us.’ Really excellent!
