MagicalBikeRide Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 If they smoke anything like the rest of the range has done for the past couple years, I’ll be excited to try one
JohnS Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 The vitola is a unique 'Originales'. In other words, it's a torpedo with a 54 ring gauge x 125 mm (or 4⅞ inches) in length cigar. By comparison, the Bolivar Belicosos Finos is a 52 ring gauge x 140 mm (or 5½ inches) in length Campanas. The closest piramides-type cigar in size to the Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.3 in regular production is the Partagas Maduro No.2, which is 55 ring gauge x 120 mm (or 4¾ inches) in length. In terms of expected smoking time, I would opine that the Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.2, Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No.3 and Partagas Maduro No.2 would all take roughly the same time: 65 to 70 minutes. 4
Popular Post SigmundChurchill Posted September 26, 2023 Popular Post Posted September 26, 2023 I saw them being rolled at the La Corona factory the other day. They look nice. Our guide accidentally tipped over 3 trays of them and we watched them fall 2 or 3 feet to the floor, so you may want to avoid SEP/OCT La Corona boxes. 😂 1 16 1
potpest Posted September 26, 2023 Posted September 26, 2023 What's the point really? Once you've cut the thing there's only 4 inches to work with, and it will all be over far too quickly. I'd love this if it was a proper piramides. 4
westg Posted September 26, 2023 Posted September 26, 2023 I can't see much sense in a torpedo of that size. 1

Edicion Posted September 26, 2023 Posted September 26, 2023 Looks good, one of my favs NC is the Oliva Serie V Belicoso (5×54), which looks to be about the same size. I would think of it like a Mag 54 but with a slimmer torpedo shape that does not break the jaw.
gormag38 Posted September 26, 2023 Posted September 26, 2023 So are there both 10 count and 25 count boxes of these expected?? It seems like from the main/background photo in the CA article it's a 10 count SLB and then the larger photo is a 25 count SLB. The article only mentions 25 count SLB.
joeypots Posted September 26, 2023 Posted September 26, 2023 I’d like to read an article detailing how Habanos is dedicating itself to regaining its reputation for first class regular production traditional vitolas wrapped with a single band. 2
