Fugu Posted September 30, 2025 Posted September 30, 2025 All good, folks, but that’s not a (legit) box code stamp. Wondering it made its way through to BR.

I'm wondering if the 16/17 code listed as BOE for Caney Factory in Santiago is a typo on the document. Bit of a necro thread response here. Just saw this question. Montecristo No.4 BEO JUL 16 - purchased from a grey market vendor in March of 2021. These are long gone, but as I recall they were a mild but flavorful smokes with a decidedly chocolate/coffee profile. As I was updating my records and looked at these photos later, I was leaning towards them being fakes. I could not find the box code on your list and something about the font of the box code did not look right.
FOHgetaboutit Posted November 1, 2025 Posted November 1, 2025 I wonder when the next code change will be? Aren’t we beyond due?
NYGuido Posted November 4, 2025 Posted November 4, 2025 Hey folks! Anyone have info on whether LRO was ever a real code? I was going through my stash and confirming box dates, etc., and my Hoyo Epi 1s have this box code from 2024. Here's a pic in case I am reading it wrong. Can't find the code on the spreadsheet. I got these from a vendor I've purchased many boxes from with no issues. Vendor is trusted on the Cuban subreddit and has never, not once, been suspected of selling fakes, so I'm stumped.
Salomones Posted November 5, 2025 Posted November 5, 2025 LRO is Cruces fabric in Cienfuegos Province. Hoyo San Juan was boxed there too. In the List is LNO - that's one of the verified mistakes. 1

benfica_77 Posted November 24, 2025 Posted November 24, 2025 By any chance do you gents know which factory is OEG? Seems like a bigger factory since it's a popular box code. Thanks.

Fugu Posted yesterday at 02:15 PM Posted yesterday at 02:15 PM Anyone familiar with a RTE 2025 box code? Seems that it's not contained in the current list. This is from a recently acquired box of Monte 2s. Mis-stamped Santa Clara code? New code? The right “leg” of the R appears a bit smeared though (zooming in), so could likewise be a “P” perhaps?

At first it clearly looked like an R to me. But after looking closer I certainly see it being smudged. I think PTE is the winner. 1
sbsbsb1 Posted yesterday at 03:08 PM Posted yesterday at 03:08 PM With the confirmation that La Corona was/is supervising prison rolling ops, does this mean those prison rolls are being stamped as BRM?

These cigars are almost certainly making their way into color matching and banding at Corona and elsewhere across the island. 1 hour ago, Fugu said: Anyone familiar with a RTE 2025 box code? I think this is PTE and - like we've discussed earlier in this thread - I think a damaged/compromised stamp actually adds to authenticity. When we see this identical messed up stamp on other boxes, it just helps us know it's the real deal. 2
