I use a different password for each of the hundred or so services I admin. Good news is as admin, I can easily reset myself when I forget them.

I rotate between random years and random Eastern European towns (replacing some letters with numbers) that I've got zero connection with and then some random special characters.

That being said, it's all a waste of time - use multi-factor authentication with everything!!

I use a MF Authenticator to get into our main system but still need like 5 different passwords aftewards.

I've got 2fa wherever I can have it. Even on my Jetbrains account.... Why!?

I use a different email address for every service too.

Yes it's a pain. When are we doing away with passwords again?

I use a password manager and I'm almost at the point where I'm going to use 2 factor with a password token like a YubiKey.

Check.  Dashlane w/ 2FA is my secrets manager of choice. All passwords are 17+ characters with all possible complications enabled - machine generated and random for each and every service.

For those that use different passwords based on the sensitivity of the service: don't forget that someone breaching and collecting data from a "less sensitive" service can furnish a bad actor with enough info to break into a more sensitive service.  Using a specific password for each service be it banking, an adult site, or your local little league is the only way to silo out that login data and increase your overall attack resiliency.

My passwords depend on the level of security needed. For work, my passwords are complicated, using non-standard words and spelling intermixed with special characters. For run of the mill stuff, but access to payment, passwords are still complicated, but not as long. For other accounts, I use throw away email addresses and passwords that I rotate through. Oddly enough, I still use a password I created back in 2006 for one of my accounts.

Minimum 15 characters - I take a portion of the password generated by the software but then always sub in some of my own - usually a random small word with random capitalization or change a few numbers.  I don't even trust the random password generators.  I will admit to being too lazy to generate a new password monthly or even annually -so, one can ride along for years until there is an issue.  The last big issue was several years ago when we were all told to move to at least 13 to 15 unique characters.   If it's now 17 characters, I have some work to do ....

I used to work for a large telecom and this was even a decade ago I had a physical keyfob along with a single login for my station.  I appreciated not having to keep track of 10+ application passwords with a 120 day non-repeating non-sequential password system like my current employer.

3-4 that are the regular rotation for standard non-monetary sites. 1 that is much longer and complicated for banking.
